Ibusa Community Hail Pastor Okeze Over Road Project

By: Ike Philip Abiagom

Pastor Idowu Okeze

The people of Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State have commended Pastor Idowu Okeze for attracting the construction of 1.3km road project in their community.

The Ibusa community hailed Okeze’s magnanimity and astuteness in facilitating such project to Ibusa. The project, which is aimed at enhancing accessibility and improving the quality of life for Ogboli-Ibusa residents, is being widely celebrated as a significant milestone for the community.

According to Pastor Okeze, the road stretch, designed to be constructed with asphalt, will open up the economy of this community. The road is expected to last about 20 years once completed. The Ulti-Care Ogboli road was impassable before, but today it is history. This road is 1.3 kilometres with two side wide drainages to control erosion , so it is not child’s play but indeed a legacy project that, by God’s grace, when completed, will open up the economy of Ogboli communities. The road has never been asphalted before. This is going to be the first time,Once done according to certification, we should not be thinking of road construction (on the same road) for 20 years—at most, he said.

He further noted that developmental projects like this are not only meant to ease transportation and promote economic activities but also to foster a greater sense of inclusion and progress in the area.

According to Okeze, “This road project is a direct response to the needs and expectations of our people. I am deeply committed to ensuring that the people of Ibusa enjoy real, tangible development. “By Grace of God, this is just one of many initiatives we are putting in place to transform our town across different sectors — be it education, healthcare, empowerment, or infrastructure,” he stated.

Responding to questions from journalists, he said the project is federally funded. However, he noted that not only was the project facilitated by him, but he also ensured it was captured in the budget and that funds were provided for execution.

“My sincere appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for touching our lives, especially in our locality.

Also Comrade Philip Elueme, an Abuja based and Media Consultant from Ibusa described the road project as a monumental achievement that the people of Ibusa will always remember. He commended Pastor Idowu Okeze for his relentless efforts and passion for service delivery, acknowledging that Pastor Okeze has consistently demonstrated leadership through action.

Elueme stressed that, “This road project is a testimony to the fact that Pastor Okeze is not just making promises but actually delivering results. The people of Ibusa are witnesses to the many projects he has brought to this Ibusa Community, and this is yet another clear example of his commitment to progress. He described the project as a clear indication that Pastor Okeze is in touch with the grassroots and he is actively working to uplift his people.

Comrade Elueme praised Pastor Idowu Okeze for his inclusive approach and his focus on Ibusa community development and said the flag-off was not just a celebration of a road project, but a moment of unity, progress, and renewed hope for the people of Ogboli- village and Ibusa as a whole.
He expressed gratitude to Pastor Okeze for his commitment to community development and prayed for God’s continued blessings upon him.

Easter: Pastor Okeze tasks Christians to make sacrifices for peace

By: Ike Philip Abiagom

Pastor Idowu Okeze

Pastor Idowu Okeze has tasked Christians in the country on the need for them to make sacrifices for the greater unity, peace, political stability and progress of Nigeria during this Easter festivals.

Pastor Okeze, in an Easter message signed on Friday, called on Nigerians and Deltans in particular, to seize the opportunity of the Easter holiday to reflect deeply on what more they need to do as a people, to ensure that they live peacefully with one another in the nation’s quest for a better future for all citizens and residents in the country.

The statement reads in part: “As Christians, we must reflect on the import of Easter celebrations in our dealings, not only with other Christians, but with people of other religions.

“We must eschew bitterness and all forms of violence, because the progress, peace and security of the nation is anchored on good neighborliness and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.”

He noted that if Nigerians lived peacefully with one another they would not be confronted with issues of armed banditry, herdsmen attacks, kidnapping and other vices threatening the soul of the great country.

Okeze urged Nigerians to let the significance of the celebration reflect in their relationship with one another, adding that “there is no doubt that these are tough times in our country.”

He reminded Christians that having gone through forty days of fasting and praying, Easter was a better time for them to purge themselves of those weights that “have impeded our progress as a people over the years by demonstrating love in its fullness not only to one another but also to our society.”

Okeze enjoined Christian faithfuls and Nigerians in general to extend the spiritual benefits of Easter, which are love, peace, justice, sacrifice and kindness to their daily living, and through this contribute to the unity and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.

“The major lesson of Easter is for us as Christians to rethink the reality of our faith. As Christians, we should continue to uphold the principles of our faith as it relates to honesty, justice, integrity, accountability, compassion, selflessness and the pursuit of the common good,” he added.

Senator Nwaoboshi urges Christians to emulate Christ

By: Ike Philip Abiagom

Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi

Most Distinguish Senator Peter Nwaoboshi has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians  across the country and also urges them to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ, who in spite of his heavenly endowments, took up the cross to redeem mankind.

Nwaoboshi made the call in an Easter Goodwill Message contained in a statement by his media aide, Comrade Ike Philip Abiagom, in Asaba. He said that the country, as a community, would be a better place if adherents of Christianity imbibed the spirit of love, peace and sacrifice, which were the virtues epitomised in Christ.

He said that Nigeria was in a critical period, plagued by varying challenges and uncertainties, and charged Christians to use the solemnity of Easter to go in full supplications to God for His intervention.

According to Nwaoboshi, Nigeria, as arranged by God, is a great country, but has been weighed down by leadership challenges, which reflect sorely in the socio-economic indices and poor conditions of citizens.

“I am, however, confident that with everyone returning to, and remaining with God, He will redeem the country and restore its greatness.

“I, therefore, call on Nigerians to eschew bitterness and divisive vices, and embrace the virtues of Jesus Christ to return the country to the path of glory,” he said.

“Easter is the reason why we are called Christians. But, Christianity places a demand on all of us – the responsibility to look out for each other and be our brother’s keepers.

“On behalf of the family and people of Delta North, I congratulate all Christians all over the world on the 2025 Easter celebrations.

“It is my prayer that the spiritual benefits of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ will continue to resonate in our lives and homes.

Prof Azinge Charges Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority To Meet the Expectations of Nigerians

By: Ike Philip Abiagom

The new management team of the Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority (BORBDA) has been charged to work hard to meet the high expectations of the Tinubu administration and the generality of Nigerians.

The Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Asagba Prof Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, FNIALS, gave the charge on Wednesday when the Managing Director of the Federal Agency, Dr Olufemi Adekanbi, led the management team on a courtesy visit to his Palace.

Asagba Prof Azinge noted that past experience showed that the Authority had not done much to justify the purpose for which it was established and urged the MD and his team to deploy renewed energy, vigour and determination to driving the well-articulated passion and vision of the establishment to be able to make a difference.

The First Class traditional ruler reminded the Adekanbi – led team that the challenges before it were enormous, but not insurmountable, stressing that they should work towards winning the confidence and support of Nigerians for the Agency.

The Asagba said the future of the country depended largely on the kind of leadership persons in authority could provide for the people, insisting that past agricultural policies and programmes of the Federal Government, from the days of Operation Feed the Nations (OFN), failed due to the lack of political will to drive them.

He identified the unconsciousness of leaving behind enduring legacy for posterity as a missing link in the country and challenged the new BORBDA management to strive to leave their footprints in the sands of time.

Asagba Prof Azinge commended the Federal Government for mandating the Authority to go into large scale farming, with its over 10,000 hectares of land across the four mandate states of Edo, Delta, Ondo and Ekiti, promising to sensitize the people and create awareness on the programme, in view of its potential benefits, especially to the youths.

The Asagba used the opportunity to reflect on the non – participation of the people of Asaba in agrarian activities, including fishing that would have thrived with the location of the town on the bank of the River Niger, and declared his willingness to change the narrative through advocacy.

Earlier in his remarks, the Managing Director of the Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority, Dr. Olufemi Adekanbi, congratulated Asagba Prof Azinge on his ascension to the throne, describing him as a highly respected and influential traditional ruler in the country.

Dr. Adekanbi said the new BORBDA management team was constituted to drive President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on agriculture, pointing out that the focus was on mass production of rice and other farm produce, with a view to addressing food insecurity and creating jobs for the youths.

He disclosed that over 10,000 hectares of land were available for the programme, out of which less than 500 hectares were currently being farmed and solicited the assistance of the Asagba in creating awareness on the need for the people to key in.

Real Estate is Creating Wealth in Nigeria – Acho Nonyalim, MD/Founder, Juniuc Group of Companies

By: Ike Philip Abiagom & Precious Erugo

Juniuc Homes and Properties Limited, in collaboration with Austin Uwandulu Diamond Estate( AUDE), is reshaping Nigeria’s real estate industry by developing the biggest private estate in Southern Nigeria,Delta State.

Juniuc Homes CEO, Acho Nonyalim, emphasised the company’s commitment to change through new ideas, sustainable practices, and education. “We must go beyond traditional approaches and invest in knowledge-sharing platforms to move the industry forward,” he said. In a country where the housing deficit continues to grow and most new developments cater to the luxury market, millions of Nigerians struggle to find affordable homes. But Austin Uwandulu Diamond Estate ( AUDE) in collaboration with Juniuc Homes are changing that narrative.

Instead of focusing on high-end properties with limited accessibility, Austin Uwandulu Diamond Estate( AUDE) in Ibusa decided develops affordable rental units in high-demand areas in Ibusa , ensuring both steady occupancy and guaranteed investor returns.“Real estate success isn’t just about building houses; it’s about building the right houses,” Nonyalim explains.

“We focus on properties that are already in demand, so by the time they are completed, finding tenants isn’t a challenge. That’s why our investors get consistent returns.”

Beyond building homes, Elder Acho Nonyalim is committed to shaping the industry’s future. He has trained over 100 realtors, equipping them with the skills to thrive in real estate. His contributions have earned him notable recognition, including being named among the Top 100 Persons of the Year, receiving the Innovation Award, and an honorary recognition from the Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria(ACNPN).

Despite early challenges, Acho Nonyalim remains driven by resilience, discipline, and continuous learning. “Every setback was a lesson, and every lesson made me better. “Success in business is about adapting, improving, and staying focused on the needs of the market.”

In an exclusive interview with Newsbreeze Crew, Elder Acho Nonyalim, an industry leader and MD/Founder of Juniuc Homes & Properties Ltd answered a series of questions on how real estate can be a tool for wealth creation in Nigeria. He highlighted the current state of real estate in Nigeria, future outlook and investment strategies: Excerpts

What makes real estate a preferred investment option for building wealth in Nigeria compared to other asset classes?

  • Real estate has an unmatched ability to turn dreams into reality. It’s not just about owning land or property. it’s about securing a future, building legacies, and having security or peace of mind that few other investments can offer. Unlike volatile asset classes like stocks or cryptocurrencies, real estate provides a tangible asset that not only appreciates over time but also offers multiple avenues for income generation. In Nigeria, where the demand for housing and commercial spaces is increasing day by day, investing in real estate is like planting a seed that will one day become a tree, offering shade and fruit for generations to come. This stability, coupled with the emotional satisfaction of owning a piece of the earth, makes real estate the ultimate choice for wealth creation.
  • How has the real estate market in Nigeria evolved over the past decade in terms of investment opportunities?
  • The evolution of the Nigerian real estate market over the past decade is nothing short of inspiring. We’ve seen rapid urbanization, a growing middle class, and an increasing demand for both residential and commercial properties. What used to be a market dominated by traditional practices has transformed into a dynamic sector driven by innovation and technology. The rise of smart cities, eco-friendly developments, and real estate Junic platforms have opened up opportunities for a wider range of investors. This evolution is a testament to the resilience and potential of the Nigerian market, where opportunities are as vast as the land itself.

What strategies would you recommend for someone looking to start investing in real estate in Nigeria?

  • Starting in real estate can feel overwhelming, but the key is to start small and be strategic. First, I would say educate yourself because knowledge is power in this industry and in life. Begin with properties that are within your financial capacity, and consider investing in emerging areas with high growth potential.
  • Secondly, Networking is crucial and very important, connect with industry professionals who can guide you through the journey.
  • Lastly, be patient because Real estate is a long-term investment, and the rewards come to those who wait and plan diligently.

How important is location in determining the success of a real estate investment in Nigeria?

  • In Real Estate Location is everything. It’s the heartbeat of a successful investment. A property in a prime location can yield returns far beyond initial expectations, while a poorly located property can become a liability. In Nigeria, where infrastructure development is key, investing in areas with good road networks, proximity to city center, and future development plans can significantly increase the value of your investment. It’s not just about where the property is today but where it will be tomorrow.

What are some common risks associated with real estate investment in Nigeria, and how can investors mitigate these risks?

  • Real estate in Nigeria, like any other market, comes with its risks. These include market fluctuations, legal disputes over land ownership, and the potential for fraudulent transactions. However, these risks can be mitigated by conducting thorough due diligence and working with a reputable real estate brokerage firm. also, I would say it’s wise to diversify your portfolio and not put all your resources into a single investment. By being cautious and informed, you can navigate the risks and turn them into opportunities.

How important is portfolio diversification in real estate investment, and what are some ways to achieve it in Nigeria?

  • Diversification is the real deal of a successful investment strategy. In real estate, this means spreading your investments across different property types it could be residential or commercial and across various locations. In Nigeria, you can diversify by investing in properties in different states like Abuja,Asaba, Warri and Lagos each has its unique growth potential. Diversification does not only reduce risk but also ensures that your portfolio grows steadily over time in different ways.

How do government policies in Nigeria impact real estate investment and its potential for wealth creation?

  • Government policies play a crucial role in shaping the real estate landscape. Policies related to land ownership, taxes, and infrastructure development can either spur growth or stifle it. In Nigeria, recent initiatives aimed at improving the ease of doing business and land registry processes have positively impacted the sector. However, there’s still a need for more consistent and transparent policies to fully unlock the potential of real estate as a wealth creation tool. As investors, staying informed about policy changes and understanding their implications is key to making sound investment decisions.

What is your outlook on the future of real estate as a tool for wealth creation in Nigeria?

  • The future of real estate in Nigeria is bright, filled with so much promise and opportunities waiting to be seized. As the population grows and urbanization continues, the demand for real estate will only increase. With the right policies, innovation, and investment in infrastructure, real estate will remain a powerful tool for wealth creation. I see a future where more Nigerians can afford homes, where the real estate market is accessible to everyone, and where the dream of owning property becomes a reality for many.

Are there any emerging trends or opportunities in the Nigerian real estate market that investors should be aware of?

  • Absolutely. One of the most exciting trends is the rise of sustainable and eco-friendly developments. As awareness of climate change grows, there’s a significant shift towards green energy buildings and smart homes. Additionally, the growth of the industry in Nigeria is creating new ways for people to invest in real estate, making it easier and more efficient. Another opportunity lies in the development of affordable housing scheme, which is in high demand. These trends not only offer great investment opportunities but also contribute to the overall growth and development of the country.

I’m left in shock and awe as to what manner of man you are. Your mien is studied religiously and your mannerisms inspire hope and determination to succeed within those whose paths have crossed with you.

You’ve always being yourself and remaining true to your calling and purpose in life which is to be an Iroko and offer meaningful shade or protective cover to all those in need. You’ve proven and distinguished yourself creditably in the little that life and chance has thrust upon you. You are imbued with the requisite dexterity, unassailable skills, intelligence, sound mind and a calm spirit of purpose.

Many will spend their lifetime trying to figure out rules to living, however, Chief Lucky Abuah not only figured them out but has been living them for almost two decades now.

“The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.

“So, achievements generally could not necessarily be achievements in terms of material things. There is a way I look at achievement.

“How many people have you impacted in life? How have you changed situations around you? These are areas where one needs to perform well before he is called an achiever. He demonstrates the exact meaning of living by using his talent to serve the world and leaving a lasting impression while serving and mainly a positive impact on the causes that matter to the powerful.

You make each day special just by being yourself around people, you illuminate the darkest moments in the lives of people through your acts of generosity. You are kind and your care for humanity is never in doubt.

If asked, if I have met anyone who has lived all his life being charitable and kind to others I am going to mention you a million times because you are a servant of the poor. The volunteers would say the same because to all of us, you are that humble, happy, and friendly brother, yes, brother because you are always willing and patient to guide people through the right paths and your life is a lesson to people, You are unique.

You are the most generous, fun, and loving person every young person should cling to, your interest in the growth and the development of youths make me wonder how you make out time for people even with your busy schedules. You are passionate about a lot of things, sometimes I question why you have to do so much but then all of these sums up who you really are. No one or definition better describes the word intentionality but you. You are intentional. You are the best definition of what it means to be intentional.

The journey of feeding families and caring for them in this trying moment as we are faced with the deadly hardship, couldn’t have been possible without you pushing this goal of sustaining the poor in their lack. Many smiled again, many lived, many became hopeful because you gave them reasons to be.

Memories! Memories of men, women and children who danced to the love they received, laughter on the faces of those who couldn’t comprehend the fact that someone remembered them, the tears that flowed from the eyes of those who never expected the love extended, the songs of praise and thanksgiving to God from the poor widow. The reality you brought because you were busy thinking of the poor.

Thanks you Chief Lucky Abuah for being a gentle and kind mentor to all in the LUCKY ABUAH FOUNDATION, You are an inspiration to everyone, thanks for making available this platform of charity to our people. You remain a shining example for all of us.
