By: Ike Philip Abiagom

Hon. Louis Ndukwe
Coordinator, OUK Movement,Southern Solution Team addressing the crowd during the unveiling ceremony on Saturday in Asaba

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]head of the 2023 general election,a Movement group, Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Southern Solution Team ,headed by Hon. Louis Ndukwe has declared their support for Senator Orji Uzor Kalu as the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The group noted that it would be easier for APC to win the upcoming Presidential election if Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) emerge as the Party’s standard bearer.

Addressing the crowd during the unveiling ceremony on Saturday in Asaba, the leader of the OUK Movement under the aegis of Southern Solution Team, which covers four states: Delta, Bayelsa, Anambra and Edo. The Co-ordinator of this powerful movement said that ”Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) is an embodiment of credibility and competence considering his performance as Governor of Abia state and as the current Chief Whip of Nigerian senate. He’s a Pan-Nigerian leader who would be acceptable by all regions of the country regardless of any ethnic, religious and tribal consideration.” He elaborated.

He said, “We have the honour to unveil the take-off of the OUK Movement,Southern Solution Team in Asaba since our Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, has hinted on his decision to contest the most coveted political position in Nigeria. While making a rallying call to South-South to mobilize massively and join the APC, to boost the party’s membership ahead of the 2023 elections, Ndukwe said Southern states had been at the forefront of producing leaders of Nigeria and had shown commitment to APC as a party over the years.

He said, “We have come to seek and solicit your support for the Presidential aspiration of Orji Uzor Kalu and to assure you that OUK is in the best position to unify Nigeria and protect the interest of the whole Nigeria, Chief Ndukwe said.

“Our struggle is to see that APC gives ticket to OUK to put him in a position to be the presidential candidate of APC come 2023.
“Fellow countrymen, there must be conscious efforts from both side of the country as Nigeria cannot fathom a civil war in the 21st century and that will not favour any person or group.
“This saleable candidate will give all and sundry a true sense of belonging, inclusiveness, fairness, equality, respect and hope of one Nigeria.”

Ndukwe, who was two time local government chairman of Oshimili North Local Govt. council said, his movement is supporting Orji Uzor kalu because he has what it takes to be president and that with the look of things, he is the only person who is prepared to be president and give Nigerians the required leadership, direction  and unity.

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu(OUK) is young, experienced, and a dynamic southerner with the capacity we all yearn for. “Whether we like it or not we need a man who has experience in business, politics and not experimental president, not a man who will come in and have godfather somewhere. Orji has all it takes to be our next president.

According to Director of Media of Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Southern Solution Team, Hon. Leo Nkeaka, further said that he did not see Orji as a serial presidential contestant, however, added that everyone living has ambition.furthermore, He said: “If you do not have ambition then you should not be living. So Orji Uzor kalu is the right choice for us as far as 2023 is concerned. If it is the desire of Dr. Orji Uzor kalu, if it is his ambition to be president let him be and I will appeal to Nigerian to vote for him. Let me tell you after Obafemi Awolowo of blessed memory, who was ready to offer his selfless service to this nation, Kalu is the next person who is prepared to be President and give this country the needed governance and, he has what it takes to be president.”

“As far as I know, Kalu is a man who has managed his home and businesses very well and will be able to manage a country? OUK is a young man with business empires everywhere what is his main concern now other than how to use his wealth of experience to better the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

Any country without a middle class is not a country, when there is no middle class what will bridge the gap between up and down the rich and the poor, such a country has a problem because if you secure yourself you cannot secure your children and your relatives. We are in trouble whether you like it or not, be you a rich man or a poor man. The rich are not even secured because they are few, you have to come together, the fact that you can feed very well, does not make you better than the ones who don’t have and I am supporting Kalu because he is aware of all these,” he declared.

On the current security challenges in the country, Hon. Ndukwe said insecurity should be discussed outside politics because one need to be alive to play politics.

“Irrespective of what political party you belong, this is a fight for everyone in Nigeria so that you and I will be able to move in safety. I think we should all join the Federal Government, first is to pray for Mr President so that he will be able to find the wisdom to get away from where we are today.

“He inherited it but it went so bad since he came in, so, he should rejig his strategies and give us what will move this country forward. It is only where you have peace that you can think about politics,” Ndukwe further declared.

If no be Kalu,na who else e go be?

Nelson Agbamuche: Celebrating a quintessential leader and philanthropist at 47

By: Ike Philip Abiagom

High Chief Nelson Agbamuche
Odozi -Ani of Akwukwu Igbo Kingdom

[dropcap]“G[/dropcap]reatness is a property for which no man can receive credit too soon; it must be possessed long before it is acknowledged.”When one of the world’s greatest thinkers, Ralph Waldo Emerson handed down the above words of wisdom, those he had in mind were certainly the likes of High Chief Nelson Agbamuche.

For the trail-blazing Business mogul par excellence from Akwukwu-Igbo Kingdom in Oshimili North LGA of Delta State, it is certainly impossible to gloss over his attributes for greatness. High Chief Nelson Agbamuche is a man of qualities, he is a father, grassroots man and a Political Juggernaut,He is a grassroots mobilizer, philanthropist, and a man of integrity.
High Chief Nelson Agbamuche means different things to different people; to his wife and children and his people, while to us his admirers, he is known as the grassroots empowerment master of our time, the Political Strategist but his detractors always erroneously see him as an Obstacle because of his rising profile and acceptance by the grassroots.

High Chief Nelson Agbamuche is not only the Pride of Akwukwu-Igbo Kingdom but also the Pride of the Action Peoples Congress (APC) Oshimili North Local Government Area Ward(1)One for whom he had waged countless political wars for and won virtually all, just like the Greek mythological Odyssey who fought and won difficult battle in History because he is solidly rooted and grounded, the Pride of Akwukwu-Igbo Kingdom also fought and won many battles even those considered as herculean in nature for his people and party leaders.

High Chief Nelson Agbamuche, the Odozi -Ani of Akwukwu-Igbo Kingdom, is a quintessential leader, cerebral professional grassroots politician, astute entrepreneur, motivational human manager and exceptional humanitarian. To him, living a well-fulfilled life means having outstanding personal achievements, contributing massively to societal development and enhancing the living conditions of the underprivileged.

The philanthropic pathfinder, business mogul High Chief Nelson Agbamuche has gracefully added another year today 28th January to his glorious opportunity of improving the value of human existence.
Through times, High Chief Nelson Agbamuche has represented the true definition of success. With an organized network of several investments within Nigeria, the young business mogul referenced his success to the grace and mercy of God almighty.‎

In truth, his great impact to human development, capacity building and overwhelming empowerment like scholarships, empowerment, widows supports, youth employments, charitable donations has placed “Odozani Gburugburu” in a distinguished class of honour, which is evident as he clocks plus-one today.

High Chief Nelson Agbamuche is an iconic philanthropist, a dedicated agent of change and a lover of humanity. His divine antecedents over the years has placed him in the spotlight of worldwide philanthropy. His foundation has carried out several life changing projects on education, social change and empowerment.

In Abraham Lincoln’s letter to his son’s teacher, one of the greatest men who ever lived on planet earth did write — “Teach him if you can that 10 cents earned is of far more value than a dollar found.”

This excerpt, unequivocally, flashes a sense of striking similitude, when chronicling the life of a self-made entrepreneur cum philanthropist, High Chief Nelson Agbamuche, who clocks 47, today, January 28, 2022.

Of course it is not a landmark birthday celebration, but of essence is the effervescence of a man who may, somewhat, have seen it all when it comes to scaling heights from zero to hero, especially having been born without a silver spoon.

In an old interview, he was quoted to have spoken about his humble background. Little wonder why he is more passionate about impacting lives, having been there, not leaving out the vulnerable in society.

At 47, you will admire Agbamuche’s simplicity, humility and generosity.

At 47, he sits on a conglomerate with business affairs in all nooks and crannies around the country.

At 47, Agbamuche has employed as many youths as possible through his fleet of businesses.

At 47, his heart is large enough to show magnanimity to humanity, specifically through creating sustainable wealth in the process.
At 47, he continues to make giant strides, both in business and Politics.
At 47, he is that cat with nine lives who has refused to give up on his dreams but continues to aspire higher in his entrepreneurial endeavours and in Politics.

At 47, Agbamuche continues to yearn for more of God, as he seems to have positioned kingdom businesses at the centre of his heart.

At 47… At 47… At 47…

47 hearty cheers to a generalissimo!

By: Ike Philip Abiagom

Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he member representing Delta North Senatorial District in the Senate Arm of the National Assembly and Chairman, Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs,Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi(SPON) has donated an Ultra-modern Information Technology center (ITC) called- “Obi Francis Nwaoboshi ICT Training Institute” at Isikisi Road , Isieke-Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State. The Ultra-modern Information Technology center(ITC) is named after his late father Obi Francis Nwaoboshi.

The Director, Chief Ambrose Elofu Dike who described Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi(SPON) as “a genuine partner in progress”, said the Centre was the first of its kind in the South-South part of Nigeria adding that it would impact the Ibusa community positively, especially in the areas of learning and research.
The centre parades, among other state-of-the-art facilities, two e-learning training halls equipped with over 100 computer sets and training facilities, exhibition and training halls, conference hall,server/online facilities, generator, borehole facility and water treatment plants,Wi-Fi facility and training programmes required to make learning and teaching easier for researchers.

The center is powered by solar energy and is expected to enhance the free learning capabilities of students and workers while facilitating their exposure to computer education and other technology as they connect with the rest of the world via the use of the Internet. He noted that the facility will not only bring additional knowledge to the students and teachers of the GSS in Ibusa, but also impact other neighbouring towns.

Dike said, for students to survive and compete in this digital age, they must excel in science technology hence it’s inclusion in curriculum as compulsory, particularly, the Information Communication Technology (ICT).

“The program focuses on youths who do not have the financial capacity to acquire relevant ICT, entrepreneurial and life skills that can make them compete in the workplace”.

Nwaoboshi’s Performance as a Senator has disgraced our Past Anioma Senators-Okwuekwu

By: Ike Philip Abiagom

Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi (SPON)

[dropcap]C[/dropcap]hief Emma Okwuekwu, APC Chairman Ward 5, Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State and a grassroots mobilizer has said that the member representing Delta North Senatorial District in the Senate Arm of the National Assembly and Chairman, Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs,Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, our Dynamic Leader, the Oracle turned Miracle of Delta Politics, the Aguwajiejemba of Ibusa, the Ide of Okpanam Land, Oshimili Lieonye Olie Ogwuaa of Akwukwu Igbo Kingdom and the Ochiaya of Anioma Nation at heart has every right to continue representing  the Anioma nation at the Red chambers considering his pedigree and achievements as our senator.

Okwuekwu, who is an active member of SPON Team ,a political pressure group soliciting support for Senator Nwaoboshi said he is supporting  amiable senator because of his passion to develop Delta North  and we have  never seen such representation from our past senators (Senator Okowa and Osakwe) since 1999.
Last week,  Delta North Senatorial District farmers witnessed huge empowerment with improved Yam and Maize Seedlings from Senator Nwaoboshi which has never happened in the history of Anioma nation. There is no doubt whatsoever that in the last six years of his representation as a senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Nigeria have come to embrace and admire Senator Nwaoboshi’s tactical audacity, strategic acumen and the sure-footed administrative astuteness which sets him apart as a visionary leader.

As a chronicler of history, I have to testify that a man who became Senator representing the good people of Delta North Senatorial District in 2015, Most Distinguished Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi(SPON), did what many people who become senators in Nigeria don’t often do. He actually impacted on his environment and leaving a legacy for posterity.

High Performing Leaders are vision creators, team builders, task allocators, People Developers, and motivation Stimulators. And this is the kind of leader Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi is.  Nwaoboshi’s entrance to represent the people of Delta North Senatorial District and his holy anger to turn around the fortune of his land have paid off on his image. The uncommon transformation he brought to bear in the Senatorial District today has made him one of the most popular political image in the country in terms of good representation in Nigeria senate.

Okwuekwu stressed that his support for Nwaoboshi unlike others he has always stood out among other political office holders in the Anioma, both elected and appointed, as a man whose name is synonymous with development must continue to represent us at the red chambers come 2023.

3 Confirmed Dead In Delta Collapsed Building

[dropcap]S[/dropcap]o far, three persons have been confirmed dead in the collapsed building housing the Salvation Gospel Ministry, Okpanam Road in Oshimili North LGA of Delta State.
The figure was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer of Delta State Police Command, DSP Edafe Bright.
Speaking with the PPRO via telephone conversation,  he advised journalists to desist from concocting figures of casualties, adding that the police remains the authority to release figures based on hospitals records and confirmations.
While rescue operation was still on-going last night, Secretary to the State Government,  Chief Patrick Ukah,  Commissioner of Police,  CP Ari Mohammed Ali, Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mordi Ononye, Member representing Aniocha North Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly,  Hon. Emeka Nwaobi and just this morning,  Chairman of Oshimili North LGA,  Hon. Innocent Esewezie and other stakeholders visited the scene of accident.
According to eye witnesses, over 150 worshippers were in the building when it collapsed.
The source stated that as at the time of collapse,  workers carrying out reconstruction were still on site and the engineer immediately abandoned his car and took off.
It was gathered that the one storey building belonged to an Okpanam politician and former Oshimili North Council Chairman, Hon. Ben Okonkwo who later sold it to another landlord, but before then, had collected two years rent from the church who had occupied the building for several years before now.
Not waiting for the rent of the tenants to expire or give them time to look for another property, the new landlord quickly moved in and started reconstruction project.
We gathered that the engineer did remove the enforcement of the building and started joining up bricks and compartmentalising the apartment, leaving the decking bare while all pleas for them to give the church  time to finish with their annual fasting and prayer programme proved abortive.
However,  the tragic happened yesterday evening while the service of over 150 worshippers was about being rounded off and members were taking the Holy Communion.
The Police had confirmed three dead (a woman and two children) including the Assistant Pastor’s daughter, even as injured many are at about three different hospital locations receiving treatments.
Speaking to an expert in civil engineering with a reputable engineering firm, he said the way to go in this kind of scenario is to carry out detailed investigation into the incident.
He posited that government would have to first confirm if the building was approved and if the nature of work being carried out in the renovation project was equally approved.

A tribute to my ‘brother,’ my ‘Friend’ Onowu Wilfred Ogochukwu Uchuno

Onowu Wilfred Ogochukwu Uchuno

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]oday we feel deeply saddened that Onowu Wilfred Ogochukwu Uchuno” is gone, we are consoled by the fact that he will make heaven by God’s grace. Adieu, Biggie! Goodnight “Fred!” We will always love you. We will sincerely miss you. We believe you are already resting in the sanctuary of the Lord.

Let us always remember, it is not the number of years we live in this world that is important; it is how we live those years that is important; how many people we reach out to and touch; how many people we can bring to God and to the service of our nation. The quality of life is much more important than the quantity of life; and when it comes to the quality of life, we can all say: “Onowu Wilfred Ogochukwu Uchuno lived a full life and, literally, touched thousands of people.” His death is a testament to the number of people he reached and touched.

In his Letter to the Philippians, St. Paul writes: “For me to live is Christ; and to die is gain.” In other words, to live is to serve the Lord and to die is to be with the Lord. Throughout his lifetime, Onowu Wilfred Ogochukwu Uchuno faithfully served the Lord; and now he is with the Lord. Today and always, let us be mindful that we are not saying “goodbye” to our beloved Onowu Wilfred Ogochukwu Uchuno, but we are saying “farewell,” “Biggie,” “until we meet again” in God’s Eternal Heavenly Kingdom. Our Christian faith teaches us that death is only a temporary separation, and one day, we will all be together again for all eternity.

Rest assured, Onowu Wilfred Ogochukwu Uchuno is now in the presence of God and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; he is in the company of the saints and angels, and his loved ones that have gone before him, resting in Heavenly Peace. He is looking down upon us, he is watching over us, and he is praying for us. He is saying: “Love one another as I have loved you. Live with faith, hope, and love. Faithfully serve the Lord and the Church and Nation with all your heart, soul, and mind. Follow my example all the days of your lives and I will be with you forever and ever.”

Onowu Wilfred Ogochukwu Uchuno, you will always be with us forever and ever. You are in our hearts, our thoughts, and our prayers. You always have been, and you always will be.

May the Holy Spirit comfort us and give us strength, may God illuminate your eternal soul as you start your journey to heaven today, may you “dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”See you then at the sound of the Heavenly Trumpets. Ogom, your suffering is over.
