He stands today as the only and original voice of Anioma (Delta North) at the National Assembly. The official mascot of Anioma identity, history, traditional norms and values.The fearless, courageous, pragmatic, articulate and very outspoken advocacy in the legitimate quest for constitutional clarity over contentious issues, which Senator Nwaoboshi (SPON) has displayed with competent authority, makes his leadership model iconic.
There is no doubt whatsoever that in the last six years of his representation as a senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Nigeria have come to embrace and admire Senator Nwaoboshi’s tactical audacity, strategic acumen and the sure-footed administrative astuteness which sets him apart as a visionary leader.
As a chronicler of history, I have to testify that a man who became Senator representing the good people of Delta North Senatorial District in 2015, Most Distinguished Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi(SPON), did what many people who become senators in Nigeria don’t often do. He actually impacted on his environment and leaving a legacy for posterity.
High Performing Leaders are vision creators, team builders, task allocators, People Developers, and motivation Stimulators. And this is the kind of leader Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi is. Nwaoboshi’s entrance to represent the people of Delta North Senatorial District and his holy anger to turn around the fortune of his land have paid off on his image. The uncommon transformation he brought to bear in the Senatorial District today has made him one of the most popular political image in the country in terms of good representation in Nigeria senate.
This is responsible for hundreds of honours that have been bestowed on him by diverse institutions and groups. The law of harvest is to reap more than you sew. Sow an act, and you reap a habit. Sow a habit and you reap a character. Sow a character and you reap a destiny.
The transformational leadership is the most desired form of leading. It is based on the vision where the leader is an inspiring figure who works with his followers to achieve goals. In the process, everyone helps each other to reach greater levels of achievement. Trust is an essential bond; Transformational leadership has become a fundamental tool,
particularly in the concept of developing one’s community to better the lot of the masses.
One reason why this model(NWAOBOSHI)is a true development concept is his goal emphasis. The relationship between the leader and other members of the team isn’t of primary importance. Such roles and duties exist because there is an outside target that all wish to reach, and so they take their places and undertake their own necessary tasks. Transformational leadership depends on a greater context or meaning, which is something people desire.
Transformative leaders are relentless to the betterment of his people, he is committed and passionate towards the visions he creates to archive greater values. Nwaoboshi has been able to fit in to this kind of leadership mould, from the day one of his role as the representative of the good people of Delta North Senatorial District,his projects have been so gigantic and laudable, which impact on the people enlarge his image to a sublime nature .
Senator Peter Nwaoboshi’s name today is phenomenal among the comity of leaders in the world. From Delta State, the uncommon transformation story has been heard and witnessed by many. This in turn has added value to his person.
Success, they say, has many friends and alias. This as seen in the life of Senator Nwaoboshi, his Party, the All Peoples Congress(APC) says he is their best performing SENATOR.
His appointment as the Senate Committee chairman on Niger Delta Affairs since 2015 till date,is a sign of trust in his potentials. His enthronement to that exalted office was by a consensus decision of the entire Nigeria senate . The good deeds of a man exalt him and make him an unforgettable hero.
Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, the representative of the good people of Delta North Senatorial District , has justified the mandate given to him in 2015 and renewed in 2019 by the Delta North people to represent them. He has performed and still transforming the landscape of the Anioma nation.
In the course of assessing Senator Nwaoboshi, I have heard so many people challenge me with the fact that his successes were attainable because he is the current chairman of Niger Delta Affairs and that his agency derived a lot of funds from the Federal Government. That does not tell the whole story and certainly does not do Nwaoboshi justice, but before Nwaoboshi we have other sons from Anioma who were Senators and held the same position in the past but could not achieved anything for us and rather they failed as senators from Anioma nation.
Before now if the name of my great town Ibusa is heard, the image that immediately comes to the mind is the proverbial 419 PEOPLE, but now it has changed because the name Nwaoboshi is synonyms to political success. In one generation, Nwaoboshi has succeeded in recreating the Ibusa personality and character and positioning it to be at the centre of a national re-awakening. You can now feel proud if you are from Ibusa because Senator Peter Nwaoboshi as our political enigma has affected the lives of Ibusa people and rebranded the name -Ibusa.
As Ibusa born politician of the 21st generation,His achievements as a lawmaker stand out and it is my privilege to identify with him. In the Senate class of 2015 and 2019, my Most Distinguished Senator, with the evidence on ground, Nwaoboshi will take the top prize because he belonged to a different class.This may sound preposterous, but it is no joke. When Philip told Nathaneal that he had met the Messiah and that it was Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Nathaneal, asked “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Philip did not enter into any argument with him, he simply advised him “Come and see.”
We are not in any argument with those who wonder whether any good thing can come out of our Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi?. We are not convincing people that our dear town Ibusa and entire Anioma has been transformed by this Political Messiah or respond to the demagogic rhetoric and hypocritical lies of those who have had their consciences scared with the fiery irons of falsehood and bigotry. We came to say to you to “Come and see.”the hand work of our most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi all over Anioma land.
Testimonies are being given from all facets of the Delta North society, including traditional rulers, Politicians, Civil Servants,churches have all testified to this uncommon transformation strides.Students,are not left out; even the opposing political parties confirmed his proactive representation at the red chambers.
The entire Anioma people will continue to pray for the Almighty God to grants him good health to enjoy the rest of his days. We also wish Our Leader the wisdom like that of King Solomon to continue to play his excellent leadership role for his Anioma people, the state and the nation in general. Amen.
