Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi declared that “there is no vacancy in Delta State Government House till 2031,” vowing to keep working in the interest of Delta North constituents and the APC. In a show of national solidarity, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi reaffirmed Delta North unflinching support for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori come 2027.

The endorsement came during a well-attended APC Stakeholders Meeting held at the State Banquet Hall, Government House, Asaba, which drew together top leaders of the party, serving and former National and State lawmakers, Commissioners, Local Government Council chairmen, Local Government party chairmen, and political heavyweights across Delta’s three senatorial districts.

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi who spoke amidst ovation from the stakeholders at the mammoth gathering, said Delta North political leaders and the generality of the populace were united in their resolve to back Governor Oborevwori for a second term come 2027.

Senator Nwaoboshi noted that Oborevwori earned the support of Delta North through equity and the implementation of his M.O.R.E development initiative on Infrastructure and human empowerment for Deltans, which, according to him, aligned with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu.He also commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his visionary leadership and for the massive infrastructural development across Delta State.

He assured Governor Sheriff Oborevwori that Delta North senatorial district as a whole will support and give massive votes for him and the President.Let me assure that he has the backing of politicians and people of Delta North on 2027. We have been doing it since 1999 and will continue to do same come 2027. We are all united in Delta North towards the success of the APC at the state and federal levels.

As the meeting drew to a close, the atmosphere was one of celebration, solidarity, and renewed confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori.

The Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN), Delta State Council have scored the Chairman of Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State high for his remarkable performance and developmental achievements since assuming office.

ACNPN , who visited the Local Government as part of their grassroots media assessment tour, commended the chairman for his transparent leadership style, commitment to community welfare, and delivery of impactful projects across the local government.

Local government in Nigeria often draws criticism for under-delivery, poor project follow-through, and lack of accountability. Yet there are shining exceptions — leaders who exceed expectations, not merely by talking, but by transforming everyday lives. One such figure is Hon. Chief Vincent Osilonya, the Executive Chairman of Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Delta State. His tenure shows how grounded leadership, citizen-focus, and accountability can make a tangible difference at the grassroots.

Speaking on behalf of the visiting Publishers team, the leader of the delegation, Comrade Ike Philip Abiagom noted that Ndokwa East stands out as a model of effective grassroots governance, adding that the chairman’s inclusive and result-driven approach deserves wider recognition across Delta State.

Member Representing Oshimili North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Frank Esenwah empowered selected 355 persons in his constituents with different tools of their choice worth over N300M.

The cash Empowerment was presented to the beneficiaries who cut across the communities in Oshimili North, on Thursday 9th October, 2025, at the Saint John Anglican Church Civil Hall in Akwukwu-Igbo, Oshimili North LGA Headquarters, in a colorful event marking the 2nd anniversary of Hon. Esenwah’s representation of the People in the State House of Assembly.

The occasion which witnessed a unique gathering of the people of Oshimili North who came out in their large numbers was also attended by a renowned and the Supreme Political leader of Oshimili North local Government Area, Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi,former Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa (represented by Elder Moses Iduh) and the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Chief Innocent Esewezie and Executives of the APC in Oshimili North from the Ward to the LGA. and other personalities.

It was an occasion that afforded the Honourable Member representing Oshimili North, in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Frank Esenwah, the opportunity of presenting his scorecard to the people of the constituency on his activities as their representative in the State House of Assembly for a period of two years.

Speaking at the event, Esenwah said that the gathering was an opportunity to appreciate God for all that he has done for the people of Oshimili North in the past two years of his representation, noting that the people are aware of the challenges that he passed through, before his assumption of office as the representative of the people, hence the need to celebrate and appreciate the goodness of the Lord God who he affirmed made it possible, even as he lauded the entire people of the area for their doggedness in their support, cooperation and prayers.
“I had a joint meeting of all the community Youth leaders, the APC ward Youth Leaders, and my ward coordinators in all the wards in Oshimili North and we had a very long deliberation on what they want me to do for them and at the end of the day they voted finally for cash empowerment.”

According to Hon. Esenwah, “We ensured that this cash grant was spread across every nook and cranny of Oshimili North. Artisans, market women, landlords’ associations, councillors, party leaders, traditional rulers, and community president generals all submitted nominees.” He emphasized that the empowerment initiative aimed to help people start or support small businesses, adding that the ₦100,000 grant was “a seed” intended to yield economic growth within local communities.

The representative, who is greatly loved by his people gave the assurance that he will continue to give his people quality representation no matter the cost, adding that by the end of this present administration in the State, he would be able to point to at least, one project that he was able to attract to each of the communities in Oshimili North.

“I am very determined to touch all the communities in Oshimili North by the end of this administration, no matter how small,” he stated, while saying that the people of the Area have shown happiness and delight over the massive infrastructural development ongoing in the area, which he described as unprecedented in the history of Oshimili North, while commending the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his show of love to the people of Oshimili North, whereby his administration through his MORE Agenda has opened up Oshimili North to unparalleled transformation.

He reiterated his call and appeal to the people of Oshimili North to massively support the Oborevwori Second Term in office, come 2027 and stated that the Delta Central and South have had their full tenures, hence the obvious need to support the Governor, who he described as a blessing to the People of the State, to come back to complete and consolidate on his good works for the people.

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi lauded Hon. Esenwah’s leadership, describing him as a trailblazer and a game changer who has set a new standard for constituency service. He urged supporters to back Hon. Esenwah, saying, “There has never been a member of the House of Assembly from 1999 till today who has done this. I say this with pride, Esenwah has done well. He also stressed that humility and passion for service to his people has not only distinguished Esenwah, but that he has brought value to his people through adequate representation.

Also in their remarks,Elder Moses Iduh, who represented the former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, commended Hon. Esenwah’s generosity and commitment to his people. He praised the constituents for maintaining peace, noting that “without peace, there can be no development.”

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, described Hon. Esenwah’s gesture as an example of true representation. He stated, “Ordinarily, members would save up to prepare for the next election, but Hon. Esenwah has chosen to empower his people instead. He understands that empowerment is not a gift to be squandered; it is a seed to be planted. ₦100,000 may seem little, but if used wisely, it can start a business and empower others.”

Chief Innocent Esewezie, the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area ,also aplauded the state government for extending developmental projects across all 25 local government areas, describing Hon. Esenwah’s empowerment as a reflection of responsive governance.
Highpoint at the event was the formal presentation of solar panel lights to Ward Chairmen and Honorable Councilors representing various wards across the LGA, further demonstrating his commitment to improving the lives of his constituents.

One of the beneficiary, Mrs. Nwani Amaka from the Illah community spoke to Newsbreeze and she expressed her gratitude, saying the money would help improve her farming business. “I am very, very happy. I will use the money to buy materials for my farm. I thank God and pray that He blesses Honourable Esenwah,” she said in Pidgin English.

Groundbreaking : Ugbolu-Okpanam Road Project Put Off

The Delta State Government has announced the postponement of the scheduled groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the 12-kilometre Ugbolu–Okpanam Road in Oshimili North Local Government Area.

In a statement issued on Tuesday morning, the State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads and Public Information), Mr. Charles Aniagwu, said the postponement became necessary due to the torrential rain experienced in the area.

Aniagwu explained that the heavy rainfall made it impracticable to proceed with the event as planned, noting that a new date for the groundbreaking would be communicated to the public in due course.

He conveyed the regrets of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who was expected to preside over the ceremony, to all guests and stakeholders affected by the change.

According to him, the Governor remained deeply committed to improving infrastructure and the living standards of Deltans through the continued implementation of the MORE Agenda, which prioritized meaningful development across the state.

“The State Government regrets any inconvenience caused by the postponement and assures residents that work on the Ugbolu–Okpanam Road project remains a top priority”,  Aniagwu added.

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of of the 11.725-kilometre Okpanam–Ugbolu Road in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State today.

Special Assistance to the Governor on Youth Moblisation for Ward 8,in Oshimili North LGA, Chief Austin Ndinwa (Okemili Igbuzor) stated that the project is a testament to the Governor’s vision for a prosperous and developed Delta State. The people of Oshimili North LGA and beyond are expected to benefit greatly from this initiative, which will not only improve access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities but also attract investments and create opportunities for economic growth. The project is indeed a new era of development.

According to him, this administration has prioritised infrastructure development, especially roads infrastructure, adding that good roads enhance economic development and enable security agencies to respond swiftly to emergencies.

Okemili said the people of Oshimili North would remain eternally grateful to Governor Oborevwori for his enduring legacies, which would continue to impact lives for years to come.

Chief Ndinwa applauded Governor Oborevwori achievements in road construction, school and hospital renovation, and the building of bridges and flyovers within two years of his administration and he urged him to stay the course of visionary leadership under the MORE Agenda, confident that the administration’s efforts will yield lasting dividends for all Deltans.

According to Chief Ndinwa, the Okpanam–Ugbolu Road project marks a new phase in the state’s effort to open up rural and semi-urban areas for development, ease transportation, and stimulate socio-economic growth. He noted that the Okpanam–Ugbolu Road would not only enhance accessibility between communities but also create a direct link between Ibusa town and the Oshimili North Council Secretariat in Akwukwu-Igbo.
“This project will greatly improve the lives of our people. It’s not just a road; it’s a pathway to greater economic and social integration within Oshimili North and open new opportunities for commerce, transport, and agricultural development across the local government area.”

He commended Governor Oborevwori for his visionary leadership under the MORE Agenda, assuring that Oshimili North would continue to support the state government’s developmental initiatives.

The Senior Special Assistance to the Executive Governor of Delta State on Political Matters(SSA),Hon. Leo Nkeaka aka OHAMADIKE, has commended Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the 11.725-kilometre Okpanam–Ugbolu Road.

Oshimili North Citizens are speaking up sharing how Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s groundbreaking project is going to make a real difference in their daily lives and impact of the MORE Agenda in action in Oshimili North LGA.

SSA said the groundbreaking ceremony marked the beginning of the restoration of peace and stability to the long-suffering and troubled Okpanam–Ugbolu and the Road is a major gateway to many parts of Delta State, adding that it is a resource-rich local government area.

It has huge mineral deposits and arable land for farming. It also has a large forest that has been a source of pain for the citizens and a challenge to security forces. This project is a testament to the Governor’s vision for a prosperous and developed Delta State. The people of Oshimili North LGA and beyond are expected to benefit greatly from this initiative, which will not only improve access to schools,markets and healthcare facilities but also attract investments and create opportunities for economic growth. The project is indeed a new era of development.

Hon. Leo Nkeaka reaffirmed that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration remains fully submitted to God’s leadership and guidance. Despite challenges, he said the government will continue to prevail by upholding justice, fairness, and equity.

He emphasized that humility leads to unity, and unity gives birth to peace, the true foundation for lasting development. He also noted that progress thrives only where peace abides, urging citizens to make the necessary sacrifices toward building a stronger, more united Nigeria. As the Sheriff administration advances the MORE Agenda in Oshimili North Local Government, it remains steadfast in promoting peace, unity, and inclusive growth across all communities in Delta State.
