Most Distinguished Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi (SPON)

By: Com. Vincent Iwunor

[dropcap] E[/dropcap]veryone  has power for greatness; not for fame but greatness, because greatness is determined by service.—- Martin Luther King Jr.
Stepping into History, Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi grasps the reigns of power, as Delta North’s most celebrated legislator of the 8th and 9th Assembly “THE SENATE”, blazing the trail since 2015 till date and having carved a niche for himself in the areas of Political Administration and Human Resources Management. The Ibusa born political tactician brought  to the fore glamour and extraordinary representation in less than one year in office after beginning  his improbable quest as a little known Senator within the minority party, he became Chairman Senate Committee on Niger – Delta Affairs,  Including The NDDC, the first minority barrier breaking achievement believed to be impossible by generation of minorities.

His election electrified hundredths of thousands of Delta Northerners with the hope that Delta North will be more embracing, more open to change.
The dawn of a new Democratic era with Most Distinguished Senator Nwaoboshi spreading dividends of democracy to the nook and cranies of  Delta North,  including the  establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture  and Technology Aboh (FUATA) in Ndokwa nation, distribution  of Transformers, tarring of network of roads across Delta North, installation of street lights, building of skills acquisition centers, empowerment of women and youth, employment of youths into various Government parastatals, including  the NDDC, establishment of ICT centers, among which is one that is graduating  its  pioneer students and billed for Commissioning soon in Ibusa.

Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi  remains an embodiment of Political empowerment, a man with robust political experience and wide range of International contacts.

No wonder Delta Northerners are asking  for more like Oliver Twist.

In a sign of magnetism sparked by Nwaoboshi’s ascendancy, women, youths, less privileged  and thousands of Anioma people are clamouring  for his return to the Red Chambers,  Come 2023.

Senator Nwaoboshi is the most admired Politician in Delta North. Therefore,  let us all collectively resolve that as we walk, we must walk together  and always remember that our separate  dreams are really one.

NDI OSHIMILI !NDI OSHIMILI !!NDI OSHIMILI !!!

Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi

I bring you greetings  and good tidings this morning. We are all aware of the current political activities across Nigeria with regards to the INEC election timetable.

Firstly, it is imperative for us particularly the APC faithfuls to know that our leader, Most Distinguished Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi has been duly screened and cleared by the Party and subsequently issued a Certificate of clearance to run for the Senate seat to represent Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly. Therefore,  it behoves  on all stakeholders to gear up to the challenge and work Assiduously to ensure victory for the Party.

Secondly, from the outcome of the House of Assembly and House of Representatives  primaries organised  by the PDP,  it becomes very clear that the only federal position that is left for the Oshimili People (North or South) is the Senate seat.

Therefore, all hands must be on deck to *RETAIN THE SENATE SEAT* not just for the Party but for the Oshimili people as a whole. Any outcome to the contrary will mean that Oshimili will be without a position in the federal constuency at the National Assembly and as such be at a politically disadvantaged position with Aniocha having the two federal seats.

It therefore behoves on us the People of Oshimili to ensure that the imbalance that may result if we indolently acquiesce and fail to maintain the balance is checked with our all out support to retain the Senate seat currently safely in our kitty.

The Political antecedents  of our Principal is ‘primus inter parres’ thereby making him a much more beautiful bride easier to market as our candidate than some desperate political mediocres who are only interested in power for its sake for the purposes of intimidation and subjugation of our people.

Ndi Oshimili, the time has come for everyone to defend our political future before  it becomes too late.

“A stitch in time saves nine “

Nwaoboshi – The Political Warrior

By: Ike Philip Abiagom

Most Distinguished Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi(SPON)

[dropcap]S[/dropcap]ince Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, our Dynamic Leader, the Oracle turned Miracle of Delta Politics, the Ide of Okpanam Land, Oshimili Lieonye Olie Ogwuaa of Akwukwu Igbo Kingdom and the Ochiaya of Anioma Nation ascended as the member representing Delta North Senatorial District in the Senate Arm of the National Assembly and Chairman, Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs, has been the anchor of Delta’s Democratic ship and has used the senate as vehicle to drive social and economic change in Delta North (Anioma)underminding the vehement hostility against him by members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State.

However, Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi did not renege on his primary duty as a Senator and continued to discharge his duties with a sense of purpose and efficiency. Many leaders have not shown a greater sense of emotional intelligence, empathy and responsiveness to the needs of Deltans like (Senator Nwaoboshi)our Anioma Political Warrior, A Go-Getter and A result Oriented Senator.

Besides these legislative efforts and accomplishments, it is on record that he has, in an unprecedented manner attracted unequaled massive projects to the Delta North Senatorial District and still counting. Senator Nwaoboshi flaunts a first-time record in road construction, rural electrification, both in the distribution of transformers and solar energy, visible in all the nooks and crannies of the Anioma nation and this is indisputable. The list is endless and no space in one write-up can allow the listing, else it may become boring.

Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi has attracted/constructed over 135 Roads in all the nooks and crannies of Delta North Senatorial District in Delta State.Even the Road leading to Obi of Owa house and his Palace was attracted and constructed with Street Light via NDDC by Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi.Presently, A well befitting Royal Palace and Asaba Ultra Modern Event and Meeting Hall are ongoing at DLA Road in Asaba for Asaba People and he has built a Skill Acquisition centers in Ibusa and Utagba Ogbe in Ndokwa West.

He fought and included Ndokwa Nation into Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) master plan and also included Ndokwa Youths into Nigeria Presidential Amnesty Programmes which alot of young people in Ndokwa Nation even in the whole of Delta North Senatorial District have benefited both in Education, Health, Agriculture sectors and Oil Companies Treaties.
Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi also moved for another Bill for the Establishment of Aboh Federal University of Agriculture and Technology Aboh in Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Delta State. A Bill that has been passed and waiting for the Lower House Concurrent Passage for the President to sign same into Law, He also Sponsored the Bill for Act to repeal NDDC act, same Bill has been Passed by the National Assembly and Assented to or rather signed into Law by the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Critics in their attempt to lower the influence of the Nwaoboshi Factor have deposed insensitively that these achievements came only because of his privileged position as the chairman of the Senate committee for Niger Delta Affairs. They point to the huge resources of the NDDC as an added impetus for his performance. Absurdly, this position denies the Nwaoboshi Factor to these events. The questions to ask and congruously pertinent is, how is it that the ruling party ceded such a feasible and viable office to Nwaoboshi coming from an opposition party, if not for his delirious personae?
That Nwaoboshi knows his onions is not at all in doubt because from the start of his political career, he has shown remarkably that he towers in the realm of the spiritual.

He stands today as the only and original voice of Anioma (Delta North) at the National Assembly. The official mascot of Anioma identity, history, traditional norms and values. The fearless, courageous, pragmatic, articulate and very outspoken advocacy in the legitimate quest for constitutional clarity over contentious issues, which Senator Nwaoboshi (SPON) has displayed with competent authority, makes his leadership model iconic.

Anioma people have every reason to be proud of Nwaoboshi – an illustrious son whose political influence has brought multiplying gains to us, evidenced by the several projects in infrastructure either attracted or personally provided by the Senator. In human capital development, the Senator has, and is still empowering both youths and women in various trades and businesses to make them self-reliant. Many more are also now on his payroll, sole effort of the Senator to alleviate the sufferings of his people.
Aniocha/Oshimili as a whole, and indeed Anioma people cannot but extol Nwaoboshi. The nooks and crannies of Delta North are witness to the Nwaoboshi factor in the distribution of social infrastructure that once eluded the region as stakeholders in the NDDC. Nwaoboshi is willing to do more.

Deltans-Anioma Nation now knows better that Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi is the best Senator ever to represent Delta North at the upper chambers. His kindness and willingness to reach out to  Aniomas people is one reputation that will continue to precede him on the match again come 2023. Nwaoboshi has performed beyond doubt and above all past Senators representing Delta North in the Senate and this is unquestionable and deepening success shall have no end because Senator Nwaoboshi is willing to do more.

Okocha tasks APC youth leaders to Start mobilizing for 2023

By: Ike Philip Abiagom

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Oshimili North APC Youth leader Rtn. Peter Okocha aka Bobo Nkiti, has challenged national, zonal, state and local government youth leaders and all youth stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress(APC) to begin the process of mobilising their peers across the state to select leaders that will meet the aspirations of young people.

Delivering his remarks at the Kefas park in Ibusa, venue of Delta North APC Senatorial Youth  Summit , Rtn. Okocha reiterated the need for more young people to have seats at the table in the next government.  This is because, by God’s grace, APC will win Delta and the entire Delta North senatorial district in 2023. However, it is clear that we cannot win without the strength, network, and influence of the young people in this room.

“I have had the opportunity to meet with our leaders — and we are all on the same page that an APC Federal Government must be a government that works functionally. Therefore, the only way we can be functional is to ensure that young people and women are fully integrated at the onset in all our strategies.

“We have shown that we are not just a party that talks. We work. I strongly believe that any government that comes in has to be a government that has the energy to do the work, and it is only young people that have the energy that we need,” the Oshimili North APC Youth leader said”.

Also speaking in the occasion, the APC Senatorial Youths leader,Comrade Chukwutem Nworgor reminded the youths  that as it stands, there are currently over 12 million Nigerian youths who are not yet registered to vote.

“We need you all to go out there and give these young people a reason to register to vote. You need to start mobilising at the ward, state, and zonal levels.

“And of course, it goes without saying, at this time, young people should not only come out to vote, they should also come out and vie for elective positions. With the new Electoral Act, it is clear that we will have freer and fairer elections — and only young people can and will win,”Nworgor  said”.

Nworgor assured that under his leadership as the Delta North Senatorial youth leader of APC, his doors are open to all, for advice, contributions, saying that he will not take the experience and wisdom of the elders for granted.

He noted that great power comes with great responsibilities, saying that he fully understand the responsibilities that members of the party bestowed on them as youths leaders and promised not to take the position lightly because APC must win Delta State and Nigeria come 2023.

“We seek for your support and help, for we can not succeed alone. We must work together to achieve our desired goals,” he prayed.

He added, “From now on, we take on this responsibility knowing that we stand on the shoulders of committed young men and respected elders of our party.”

According to him, ‘the recently concluded national convention was a testimony to the fact that APC’s maturity is second to none. ‘The organized, peaceful and matured nature of the convention proceedings remains the best Nigeria has ever witnessed  in any other political party in recent times.

‘The peaceful consensus methods employed free, fair and credible elections held for positions that did not go through the consensus are indeed worthy of emulation.

‘This gigantic move came to many youths especially those that are not members of the APC is generally an appealing one and has influenced many to defect to the APC.
