Esenwah’s Development Drive Redefines Representation in Oshimili North

Since his inauguration on June 13, 2023, Hon. Frank Ngozichukwuka Esenwah, the member representing Oshimili North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, has set a new benchmark for grassroots-focused legislative representation through a series of impactful initiatives across health, education, agriculture, and youth development.

At the heart of his interventions is a strong commitment to healthcare. Through a constituency-backed Health Insurance Scheme, Hon. Esenwah has facilitated free medical care for no fewer than 450 residents, significantly easing the burden of access to quality healthcare for vulnerable families.

Recognizing the importance of preparing young people for a digital future, the lawmaker has also empowered 400 youths with in-demand digital skills. The beneficiaries received training in web design, graphic design, video editing, and 3D animation. To further encourage excellence, 30 high-performing trainees were awarded brand-new laptops. In addition, four exceptional youths underwent advanced training through Design Africa and were equipped with high-grade laptops to support their professional growth. Today, they are gainfully employed and earning sustainable incomes.

In the agricultural sector, Hon. Esenwah introduced the Coconut Green Revolution Project in 2024—a forward-looking initiative aimed at transforming Oshimili North into a major hub for coconut production over the next decade. As part of this vision, over 1,000 coconut seedlings have been distributed free of charge to local farmers. He has also supported farmers more broadly by providing essential farming tools and additional seedlings to boost productivity.

Education has equally benefited from his leadership. Four schools across Igbuzo, Okpanam, Illah, and Akwukwu-Igbo have been renovated, improving learning environments for students and teachers alike.

Infrastructure development remains another key focus. Several road projects have been attracted to communities including Igbuzo, Okpanam, and Illah, with ongoing efforts to secure additional projects for towns such as Ebu, Ukala, and others within the constituency.
Widely described as accessible and responsive, Hon. Esenwah operates an open-door policy that has strengthened his connection with constituents. Many residents believe his performance so far reflects a deep commitment to service and community development.

As Oshimili North continues to witness these strides, constituents say the lawmaker’s proactive approach offers a compelling case for continuity in representation.
