It was a special day, a day set aside by the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) of St. Augustine Catholic Church Parish in Ibusa,Delta State to honour and reward some christian faithful for their exemplary efforts and exceptional contributions to the growth of the church and development of the community with a view to encouraging others to invest their resources and character in the faith they profess.Mrs Anna Elumelu was honoured with Ezinne title before by the same parish and because she is a dedicated Christian mother who has been in the church activities,St. Augustine Catholic Church Women Organization (CWO) deems it fit to honour her again with Prestigious Mother Award as “Mother Humble” because of her kindness, generosity and her love towards humanity is second to none. Mrs Anna Elumelu was decorated at the St. Augustine Catholic Church Ibusa on Saturday 23rd day of April , 2023.
The “Mother Humble” decoration according to the Catholic church is one of the honours mapped out by the universal church to recognize a longer lasting active elderly member in Catholic church. It does not matter whom you are but how devoted and dedicated a Christian mother has been in the church activities. Her roles in touching other faithful’s lives in positive way and as well for the growth of the church. Age is another important factor considered in “Mother Humble” honouring award. She was honoured alongside with Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi’s mother ,(Obi) Mrs Agnes Nwaoboshi and others.
The occasion was graced by dignitaries from far and near,including Elder Anene Chigbue, Chief Buddy Nwanze, Hon. Henry Mordi, Hon. Harrison Nkencho and others.
