The people of Umueze Quarters in Igbuzo Kingdom, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, are set to once again showcase their rich cultural heritage as they present the much-anticipated Ulo-Umueze, Ishi-Egwu Ulo Festival on August 13, 2026.
The annual festival, one of the most celebrated cultural events in Igbuzo, is expected to attract sons and daughters of Umueze from across Nigeria and the diaspora, as well as traditional rulers, community leaders, cultural enthusiasts, and visitors from neighboring communities.
As preparations reach their peak, excitement has already enveloped the ancient community. The sound of traditional drums, the rhythmic echoes of the ogene gong, and the vibrant display of cultural regalia are expected to transform Umueze into a colorful arena of celebration, unity, and cultural expression.
