The Delta State Comptroller of the Service, Mr. Idris Mohammed Yako, who presided over the decoration of 104 officers at the State Command,’s headquarters in Ibusa on Thursday, said they were among the over 13,000 officers of the Service promoted across the country .
Mr. Yako said 6,697 officers were elevated across ranks, from Assistant Superintendent of Immigration (ASI) to the prestigious rank of Assistant Comptroller General (ACG), while 7,280 officers were promoted to the rank of Inspector of Immigration, with five exceptional officers receiving special promotions for their outstanding performance and contributions.
The State Comptroller of Immigration acknowledged officers and men serving in Delta State for their exemplary service and dedication which earned them the recognition.
According to him, 5 of them were promoted to Deputy Comptroller of Immigration (DCI), 8 to Assistant Comptroller of Immigration (ACI), 7 to Chief Superintendent of Immigration (CSI), 6 to Superintendent of Immigration (SI), 58 toDeputy Superintendent of Immigration (DSI), 6 toAssistant Superintendent of Immigration I (ASI1), 5 toAssistant Superintendent of Immigration II (ASI2) and 4 to Inspector of Immigration (II) –
To the newly promoted officers, he extended his heartfelt congratulations, noting that they earned the advancement through hard work, resilience, and dedication.
Responding on behalf of the promotees, one of the new Deputy Comptrollers of Immigration, James Ezechine thanked the CGIS, Mrs Kemi Nanna Nandep and the Comptroller, Delta State Command, Mr. Idris Mohammed Yako, for their roles in their promotion and pledged that they would rededicate themselves to their duties.
