[dropcap]H[/dropcap]is Eminence,The Ikwele of Isu Anicent kingdom,Engr. Celestine Okafor, has urged Deltans to obey the restriction of movement order declared by the state government. Reacting to media reports that the Sit-At-Home order was not being observed 100% in Delta State, His Eminence charged people of Oshimili North local Government Area and Deltans not to flout any State government directive on the control of the spread of the deadly Corona virus.
He reminded the people that government’s action was for the best interest of all,stressing that flouting the order was a show of ignorance of the negative effects of the Corona virus pandemic presently ravaging the world.
His Eminence, Engr. Okafor said the use of security agents to enforce orders at all times was not always the best approach, emphasizing that the people should comply without being forced to do so.
The lkwele of Ibusa commended the pragmatic steps so far taken by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to ensure that Covid 19 is highly controlled in Delta State. He also commended the state government for establishing several holding centers across the state to promptly contain the disease in the event of any case being recorded.
His Eminence urged critical stakeholders to intensify sensitization and awareness campaign against the dreaded virus, saying that as a traditional stakeholder, he would continue to reach out to his people on the need for them to stay safe at all times.
His Eminence described the lockdown as difficult and inconveniencing, but expressed optimism that the trying times would soon be over to enable the people to return to normal life.
