Most Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi

[dropcap]S[/dropcap]enator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi (SPON),member representing Delta North Senatorial District in the Senate Arm of the National Assembly and Chairman Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs, Mrs Funke Osibodu, Managing Director of BEDC Electricity Plc (BEDC),Delta State Commissioner of Police,CP Ari Mohammed Ali and Voirel Premium Water were honoured with the Association of Community Newspaper Publisher of Nigeria (ACNPN) awards for making Delta State and Nigeria proud.
Also honoured with the prestigious Association of Community Newspaper Publisher of Nigeria (ACNPN) awards for their services to the nation and humanity are Comptroller and all the Proactive officers of Nigeria Customs Service, FOU, Zone C,.

Comrade Jude Obiemenyego,Chairman of ACNPN ,said in a statement that the outstanding personalities were being recognised for “their bravery and independent mind to save Nigeria and deepen democracy, not minding the associated risks”.

While Nwaoboshi was honoured for his proactive representation,leadership wisdom and promotion of democratic ideals in Nigeria and the Best Performing Senator ,Mrs Funke Osibudo was recognised for entrepreneurship and service to Humanity, CP Ari Mohammed Ali was honoured for proactive policing of lives and properties in Delta State,while Nigeria Customs Service, FOU, Zone C was honoured for record success in its anti-smuggling drive in the zone with seizures. On the other hand,Viorel Premium Water was honoured for standing out amongst other Water Company in Delta state for the Year.

Talking about the criteria for the awards, Obiemenyego said that the organisation watched out for individuals who are outstanding in practical application of knowledge in their specific fields of endeavour.

“We also watched out for political leaders in governance that demonstrated strategic thinking and planning for the betterment of the people they govern by executing people-oriented services and projects. “Citizens that have made Delta State and Nigeria proud through industrial manufactures, protection of lives and property as well as capacity building for the less privileged, especially youths, were also on the watch list,”.

He said that the recognition would enable the recipients to generate the energy to do more work in service to society and humanity and encourage others to offer honest, selfless, dedicated, humane and patriotic services to nation and humanity in whatever positions they found themselves.
