In a statement by his SPON Media, Nwaoboshi said Nigeria had lost one of its most illustrious sons, committed educationist, astute administrator, social reformer and highly devoted christian who is also a strong advocate of quality leadership that will bring about positive socio-economic and even political development for both the state and the nation at large on the basis of principles and teaching, was a great and serious loss not only to his immediate family, we, his brothers , but also to Delta state and the nation in general.
“My prayers are with the Okafor family over the passing of Pa. Sir A.D.Okafor, who was an educational and administrative icon ; he was a fantastic teacher, highly spiritual, someone, who loved teaching and loved his students. This is the kind of quality needed in our educational system across the country.
His life and activities in this world in the limited number of years he stayed in this world is a testimony to all and sundry that he lived a very useful and exemplary life. And we are fully hopeful that his abode in the next world is garden of paradise.
“This is why, today, as we mourn the passing of this great statesman, experienced Educationist, and a Traditionalist, I thank Almighty God and his family for sharing him with us. I also commiserate with the people of Umuekea,Ibusa, Delta State and Nigeria over Pa. Okafor.’s demise, and pray for strength for his family, friends, political associates, and supporters,” Nwaoboshi stated.
Pa. Okafor was a peaceful, hardworking, caring and dedicated man. He will surely be missed by my community, Ibusa and Delta State in general.
