The people of Igbuzo community in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State have expressed profound gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the ongoing opening and rehabilitation of critical link roads within the community and its environs.
Speaking through community leaders and stakeholders, the people applauded the Governor for the removal of long-standing bottlenecks on the Umuejei Road, as well as the Asaba/Achalla–Ibusa Road, which is presently undergoing construction. According to them, these road projects have significantly eased movement, enhanced connectivity, and improved socio-economic activities in Igbuzo and neighboring communities.
The community noted that the intervention aligns with Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to infrastructural development under his M.O.R.E. agenda, particularly his vision of transforming Asaba and its surrounding communities into a modern mega capital territory. As a host community within the capital territory, Igbuzo, they said, is already benefiting from this purposeful leadership.
While commending the state government for these laudable efforts, the people of Igbuzo respectfully appealed for attention to be given to the Ogboli Farm Road, a strategic route that directly links the community to Asaba. They described the road as vital to the rapid development of Igbuzo, noting that its construction would further open up the community, ease access to the state capital, and stimulate commercial and agricultural activities.
According to them, the Ogboli Farm Road serves as a critical economic corridor, and its development would complement existing roads, unlock business opportunities for residents, and enhance the overall integration of Igbuzo into the capital city’s expansion plan.
The community reaffirmed its confidence in Governor Oborevwori’s administration, expressing optimism that the Ogboli Farm Road will be considered as part of the ongoing efforts to make the Delta State capital territory a true mega city. They pledged continued support for the Governor’s development-driven agenda, while praying for sustained peace and progress in the state.
