Education remains one of the strongest pillars of community development, and in Oshimili North Constituency of Delta State, one man has continued to prove his commitment to that belief — Hon. Frank Esenwah, the hardworking and people-focused member representing the constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.
Over the past months, Hon. Esenwah has distinguished himself as a true advocate of youth empowerment and educational advancement. His numerous initiatives aimed at supporting students and promoting learning have touched lives across various communities within the constituency.
Understanding the critical role education plays in shaping the future, Hon. Esenwah has invested heavily in the academic growth of young people in Oshimili North. He has provided free educational materials, including textbooks, exercise books, school bags, and writing tools to pupils and students across both primary and secondary schools.During one of his recent outreach programs, hundreds of students from schools in Ibusa, Okpanam, Illah, and Akwukwu-Igbo received learning kits — a gesture that many parents and teachers described as timely and impactful.
“This is not just about distributing books; it’s about giving hope to children who want to learn but lack basic materials,” Hon. Esenwah said during one of the presentation ceremonies. “Education remains the most powerful tool we can use to change our society, and I am committed to supporting our students every step of the way.”
Beyond providing materials, Hon. Esenwah has also introduced a scholarship scheme designed to assist brilliant but financially challenged students in Oshimili North. Through this initiative, several students in tertiary institutions now have their school fees and study materials covered, allowing them to focus fully on their academic pursuits.
Parents and community leaders have applauded this gesture, noting that it has restored confidence in the government’s commitment to youth development.
“My daughter almost dropped out of school because we couldn’t pay her fees,” said Mrs. Ifeoma Okafor from Ibusa. “But thanks to Hon. Esenwah’s scholarship, she’s now back in school and doing well. We are truly grateful.
Since assuming office, Hon. Esenwah has built a reputation as a grassroots leader who understands the needs of his people. His focus on education, youth empowerment, and social welfare has earned him admiration and respect across party lines.
He has also supported skill acquisition programs for young people, organized mentorship sessions for students, and partnered with NGOs to promote digital literacy and career development.
“Every child deserves the opportunity to dream and succeed,” Esenwah said. “We will continue to work with schools, teachers, and parents to ensure that no student in Oshimili North is left behind.”
