[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he ancient Kingdom of Idumuje Ugboko ruled by a hereditary monarchy is one of Nigeria’s busiest pathways to the Northern hinterlands and Federal Capital. The peace loving people of Idumuje Ugboko are mostly proud traditionalists and Agro-economy rural natives and , as enchanting as a streaking morning sunrise, a serene landscape blessed the people of Anioma inside the Aniocha Local Government Area of Delta State.
Grassroots Publishers are compelled to write this piece because,we have been reading for sometime now, misguided articles targeted to blackmail and malign the person of Ned Nwoko, especially from one Azuka Jebose. we have been reading with heavy heart and unbelief the endless lies peddled by one Azuka Jebose reportedly based in Maryland, United States.
Why is Azuka Jebose after Prince Ned Nwoko’s hard built name, who are his sponsors and what are his benefits.? All this cynicism and misinformation by him is myopic and is geared towards one motive and that is to smear the name of an Innocent man prince Dr Ned Nwoko. The bombast, the delusional allegation and the embrace of ignorance by Azuka Jebose and his sponsors, “stand singularly alone at the top of a previously unreachable pyramid.”
The long-established rule of fairness, one of the greatest products of noble men is calling a spade a spade . Azuka is a Journalist who takes delight in falsehoods with deliberate intent to deceive or incite the public; his hubby is to feed the public with intentional falsehood thereby inciting them to violence.
The crude manner he has dabbled into the affairs of Idumuje-Ugboko kingdom by telling all sorts of lies against renowned philantropist, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko and other notable members of the Nwoko Royal family is an indication that he is either hired by mischief makers or seeking for recognition to feed from the wicked deception he is creating on social media to dent the good image of our beloved Prince Ned NWOKO.
Prince Ned Nwoko is a blessed illustrous son of the Nwoko Royal Dynasty of Idumuje-Ugboko, with so much love for his birth place. The best legacy he ever willed to achieve in life, he had decided to cite in the local agrarian community of Idumuje-Ugboko a Multi-Billion Naira University.
The controversial issues of the STARS University land, occasioned by the traditional crisis in Ugboko and false claims of a strayed relationship with the people of Onicha-Ugbo were mentioned,we feel there is the need to make some clarifications, because we believe that nobody can blackmail Prince Ned Nwoko, a British oriented international lawyer of his class. Again,we feel the said Azuka Jebose is not well informed about what had transpired in Ugboko since Prince Nonso Nwoko and his cohorts allegedly refused allowing Ned Nwoko to have the land allocated to him by his father, Obi Albert Nwoko to establish the STARS University, Idumuje-Ugboko, Prince Ned Nwoko should be celebrated for citing the University at his Homeland instead of somewhere else, for the love of his people and community”.
Prince Ned Nwoko is not just a reputable lawyer who had become famous globally. He is enormously wealthy to cite such a University anywhere in Nigeria. we are aware that the monarch of Ubulu-Okiti even offered to donate land to him, but he preferred Idumuje-Ugboko, as Prince Ned Nwoko wants his people and Community to be the first beneficiaries of
his wealth. The Star University will outlive everybody and become a perpetual legacy, not only for the memory of Prince Ned Nwoko but for Idumuje-Ugboko community because the project will attract infrastructure, social amenities, tourism, economic advancement, educational empowerment and several other benefits to Idumuje Ugboko.
Ned Nwoko has done much more for his people than government, and by extension, his goodwill and philanthropy have transcended beyond Anioma, Delta State, Nigeria and now Africa. So, leave Ned alone to do what he is called and destined to do, which is building capacity for his people through Educational Scholarships and Empowerments, and developing his
community with infrastructure, tourism and the University project. He is a man of goodwill, his type can never be found in today’s generation of Anioma. So, blackmailing or maligning him is like pouring water on a mountain; it will definitely comes back to you.
As far as we had reported the STARS University and issues surrounding that project, there is nothing like strayed relationship between the people of Onicha-Ugbo and Prince Ned Nwoko. Few years ago when the Onicha-Ugbo road became so bad that they needed money to repair it, it was Prince Ned Nwoko that donated fund to Onicha-Ugbo Youths to fix the roads, even when
the community could boast of wealthy sons and daughters.
The Idumuje-Ugboko and Onicha-Ugbo portions of the Abuja road was fixed at the cost of N100 million by Prince Ned Nwoko, which he contracted to ULO Consultants. He didn’t cut off Onicha-Ugbo, because he is for everybody. It is our advice to you Azuka Jebose and your cohorts to stop dabbling into the affairs of Idumuje-Ugboko as you are not knowledgeable to speak or write in that regards. It is also our candid advise that you and your sponsors should stop peddling lies against STARS University land issues and Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko as the people are far better enlightened and informed to accept the gabble you post on social media.
It is instructive to note that after the unfortunate crises that rocked Idumuje-Ugboko for over 5 years, a peace process has been instituted by a Committee of Traditional Rulers ably led by our revered royal father, His Royal Majesty, Obi Emmanuel Efeizomor II, the Obi of Owa Kingdom with the full support of other Kings in Anioma.
We have the firm belief that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Therefore, the actions of everyone at this critical time should be guided accordingly in order not to jeopardize the peace process as we cannot afford to go back to the trenches.
“We say NO to Malicious Lies and blackmail by reactionary forces of violence.
