The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has directed the chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie to ensure the immediate payment of all outstanding salaries and allowances due to the suspended elected Councilor who served the good people of Ward 3, Illah in Oshimili North Local Government Legislative House, Hon. Ewiwe Ajoh, who was earlier suspended following his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC).

Chief Innocent Esewezie to effect the payment of Hon. Ewiwe Ajoh fourteen months salary and other benefits with immediate effect.

“The Governor has made it clear that the state government will not tolerate any act of victimization or injustice against any public officer,” the statement read. “All pending financial benefits accruing to the suspended Councilor should be fully settled without delay.”

Political observers have commended the Governor’s decision, describing it as a demonstration of leadership maturity and respect for democratic principles.
