[dropcap]M[/dropcap]ost Distinguished Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi (SPON), member representing Delta North Senatorial District in the Senate Arm of the National Assembly and Chairman Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs joined other eminent Nigerians to pay their last respects to late father- in- Law of Legal Icon, Prof. Fidelis Odita on Friday at Akumazi Umuocha in Ika North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Speaking at the burial celebration of life service for the late father in law of Prof. Odita at Akumazi Umuocha in Ika North Local Government Area of Delta State,Senator Nwaoboshi described him as a devout Christian whose legacy of faith, character and selfless service would continue to be remembered.
Senator Nwaoboshi commiserated with Odita and the people of Akumazi, while extolling the indelible legacies the deceased left behind.

Senator Nwaoboshi, in a statement by his SPON Media team, described the late father in law as an outstanding father, committed public servant, and progressive.
The Senator said the deceased “took discipline so seriously that he made it his way of life, he saw public service as a calling, and politics as an important component of service to one’s community and to one’s people.”
Nwaoboshi described him as a revered community leader who exuded uncommon love and grace that endeared him to all. According to Most Distinguished Senator Nwaoboshi, the large turn out of people from different parts of the country was a clear testimony that Prof. Odita, who is a proud son of Ibusa and a legal Icon,is doing well as a good brother and is a friend to all.

“Delta State is blessed and Prof. Odita obviously is an asset to the state and to the country,” he said, adding, “we are not mourning the passage of a great father, we are celebrating his life and time because, we have an asset in his Son in law”
The Senator commended those who came out to bid farewell to the late Papa because in one way or the other he has impacted so much in the lives of those who crossed his path
in life.
