
The Chairman in a statement, described the demise of the Chief Patrick Onyeobi as a big loss to the State, particularly, the people of Asaba, the capital of Delta State.
The Chairman stated further that the positive impacts of Chief Patrick Onyeobi on humanity cannot be easily forgotten, adding that he would be greatly missed by all that came in contact with him.
The ACNPN chairman described the late Chief Onyeobi as a remarkable individual, a model administrator, and a community leader with exceptional leadership qualities, whose legacy has left an indelible mark on his community and the state.
He further stated, “Chief Onyeobi’s enduring legacy will forever be cherished as a symbol of Asaba’s rich traditional heritage. His name resonated widely across the defunct Bendel State and Nigeria, underscoring his profound impact on society.”
“While death is a necessary end for every mortal, the passage of the Iyase of Asaba, Chief Patrick Onyeobi., would be highly felt because of his wise counsel, any time, any day you are opportuned to be in his presence.
“He was a great man, intelligent, charismatic and an epitome of knowledge and wisdom. He lived a fulfilled life worthy of note and celebrating.
“On behalf of my media family, the Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN),Delta State Council, I heartily commiserate with our Treasurer, Comrade Nnamdi Odiwe over the passage of our highly revered Chief, the Iyase of Asaba, Chief Patrick Onyeobi.
“We are consoled by the fact that the Iyase saw it all, having lived for 90 years and left indelible foot prints of positive legacies.
“It is my sincere wish and prayers that, God in His infinite mercies grant him eternal rest” Obiemenyego stated.
