The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Delta State on Youth Mobilisation, Chief Lucky Blessing Odiakachukwu Abuah, has called on youths in Igbuzo to begin an aggressive grassroots campaign in support of all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Chief Abuah made the call while addressing youth executives drawn from various wards in Igbuzo during a strategic meeting held at his residence.
Speaking to the gathering, the yogʻuth mobilization leader described Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as “the best thing that has happened to Delta State in recent times,” citing the governor’s developmental strides, people-oriented policies, and commitment to improving the welfare of Deltans through the MORE Agenda.
According to him, the achievements recorded by the Oborevwori administration have laid a solid foundation for sustainable growth and development across the state, stressing that continuity remains critical to consolidating the gains already achieved.
He urged the youths to immediately commence a door-to-door campaign across communities, emphasizing the need to mobilize support for APC candidates at all levels in the forthcoming elections.
The task before us is to take the message of good governance to every household. We must work together to ensure victory for our party from the Presidency to the Governorship, Senate, House of Representatives, and the State House of Assembly. Delta State and Nigeria need continuity, stability, and progressive leadership, he stated.
Chief Abuah assured the youths of his unwavering commitment to the mobilization exercise, promising to provide the necessary logistics, support structures, and manpower required to ensure the success of the campaign.
The SSA further disclosed plans to launch another round of personal empowerment programmes aimed at uplifting people at the grassroots level. He noted that community empowerment has remained a major focus of his philanthropic activities long before his appointment into public office.
He explained that through his Lucky Abuah foundation, he has consistently supported vulnerable persons, youths, women, and small-scale entrepreneurs across various communities, adding that the forthcoming empowerment initiative would further complement government efforts in improving the living standards of the people.
Chief Abuah urged the youths to remain united, peaceful, and focused on constructive engagement, assuring them that greater opportunities await those who participate actively in community development and political mobilization.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by the youth leaders to intensify grassroots sensitization and mobilization efforts in support of APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
