IGBUZO: Excitement has greeted the announcement of Igbuzo-born international rugby player, Dr. Freddie Chukwuyem Henry-Ajudua, as one of the 12 athletes selected to represent Nigeria at the 2026 World Rugby SVNS 3 Qualifiers scheduled to hold in Kampala, Uganda, from September 26 to 27, 2026.
The United States-based rugby star was named in the Nigeria Stallions squad by the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF), a development widely celebrated by sports enthusiasts and members of the Igbuzo community.
According to the federation, Nigeria will compete against seven other African nations at the tournament, with the Stallions drawn in Pool A alongside Zimbabwe, Ghana, and Morocco.
For Dr. Henry-Ajudua, the latest national team invitation is another landmark achievement in an illustrious rugby career that has seen him represent Nigeria on several international platforms.
