The South-South Zonal Coordinator of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), Hon. Jacob Azikiwe Nwabuwa, has intensified mobilization efforts for the forthcoming One Million March, a nationwide rally aimed at galvanizing support for NDC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Nwabuwa, who is also the Chairman and Managing Director of Ogalanya Farms Nigeria Limited, described the initiative as a mass movement designed to unite Nigerians behind the party’s vision of good governance, national development, and inclusive leadership.
Speaking on the planned march, the businessman, farmer, real estate entrepreneur, politician, and community advocate said the event would serve as a platform for citizens to demonstrate their support for NDC candidates across the country.
According to him, the One Million March is a people-driven movement expected to attract massive participation from youths, women, party faithful, and other stakeholders committed to strengthening democracy and advancing the party’s grassroots agenda.
The One Million March is a movement of the people and for the people. It is an opportunity for Nigerians to show their support for all NDC candidates and to deepen the party’s presence at the grassroots level, he stated.
Hon. Nwabuwa reaffirmed his commitment to mobilizing support across the South-South region, particularly among young people, whom he described as critical stakeholders in nation-building and democratic development.
He urged Nigerian youths to participate actively in the political process and support leaders who possess the vision and capacity to deliver meaningful development for the country.
Expressing confidence in the success of the rally, the NDC chieftain said the march would further energize party supporters and strengthen the party’s position as preparations for the 2027 elections continue to gather momentum nationwide.
Political analysts believe the mobilization drive marks the beginning of broader grassroots engagements by the NDC as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the next general elections.
