Cido Asthma Foundation extends warm greetings as we celebrate World Asthma Day 2025. This year’s theme, chosen by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), is *”Make Inhaled Treatments Accessible for All.”*
GINA reminds us that empowering individuals with asthma through education is crucial for them to effectively manage their condition. This knowledge empowers them to understand their triggers and medications, and to recognize when to seek medical attention.
As healthcare professionals in Cido Asthma Foundation, we play a vital role in this empowerment process. GINA encourages us to continuously deepen our awareness of the latest evidence-based practices for asthma management, particularly research on avoidable morbidity and mortality associated with the disease. By staying current, we can provide our patients with clear and accurate information about their asthma and treatment options, ultimately enabling us to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s specific needs and circumstances.
By working together, we can empower individuals with asthma in Delta State to take control of their health and live fulfilling lives. Let us use World Asthma Day 2025 as an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to education and empowerment in the fight against asthma.
