Sir Chuks Okonji (Omelora) Applauds Global Celebration of Prof. Patrick Utomi at 70

Sir Chuks Okonji, popularly known as Omelora, has expressed deep appreciation to Nigerians and the international community for the remarkable celebration that marked the 70th birthday anniversary of Professor Patrick Okedinachi Utomi, describing the event as a moment of collective pride for Igbuzo,Delta State, Nigeria at large.

According to Sir Okonji, the birthday celebration was not only colourful and memorable but also a reflection of the global respect and admiration Prof. Utomi has earned over the decades. He noted that technocrats, scholars, policy experts, and eminent personalities from within and outside Nigeria gathered to honour a man whose intellectual contributions and patriotic commitment have left an indelible mark on national and global discourse.
He described Prof. Utomi as a rare gem and a proud son of Igbuzo, whose achievements have brought joy, honour, and global recognition to the sons and daughters of the ancient town.

“Professor Utomi has consistently demonstrated excellence, integrity, and selfless service. His life and works have made every Igbuzo son and daughter proud,” Sir Okonji stated.

Sir Okonji further emphasized that Prof. Utomi remains one of the true ambassadors of Igbuzo, whose voice, ideas, and leadership continue to positively project the community on the world stage.

He concluded with prayers for God’s continued protection, good health, and long life for the renowned professor, expressing hope that he will remain a source of inspiration and guidance for generations to come.

“May God keep him strong and hearty, and preserve him for us and for humanity, as he continues to represent Igbuzo with honour and distinction,” he added.
