The Chairman and Managing Director of One Needs Properties Ltd, Otoma Stanley Chukwudumebi, has expressed deep disappointment over what he described as unnecessary political posturing by some overzealous politicians in Oshimili North Local Government Area who, according to him, are attempting to challenge the long-established leadership structure in the area.
Speaking over the weekend, the real estate entrepreneur and community stakeholder said it was surprising that despite clear political developments in recent months, a few individuals still “harbour illusions” about the leadership position of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, whom he referred to as the undisputed political leader of Oshimili North.
Otoma noted that the political realignments that saw a massive shift of key actors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the All Progressives Congress (APC) should leave no one in doubt about the current political direction of the local government.
“The total collapse of the PDP structure into the APC is not a joke. It is a reality everyone can see,” he said.
“We have only one leader in Oshimili North, and that leader is Senator Peter Nwaoboshi. Anyone pretending otherwise is simply dreaming.”
He urged party faithful and emerging political actors to respect the existing hierarchy and focus on strengthening the party rather than engaging in divisive actions that could undermine collective progress.
According to him, stability and unity remain key to consolidating the gains already made by the APC in the area, stressing that Senator Nwaoboshi’s leadership has been instrumental to the political growth and strategic positioning of Oshimili North in recent years.
Otoma called on all stakeholders to align with the leadership structure, work in harmony, and place the interest of the constituency above personal ambitions.
