Oshimili North APC Leaders Receive Elumelu, Laud His Track Record

AKWUKWU-IGBO – Former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Godwin Elumelu, has formally declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, following a strategic engagement with executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The meeting, held at Akwukwu-Igbo, brought together APC Local Government and Ward executives, party leaders, and stakeholders as part of Elumelu’s ongoing consultations within the party.

Addressing the gathering, Elumelu highlighted several projects and achievements recorded during his tenure as the member representing the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. He emphasized his commitment to quality representation, grassroots development, and people-centered leadership.

He noted that his years in office witnessed various initiatives in infrastructure, electricity provision, empowerment programmes, and community support, which he said positively impacted many communities across the constituency.

Party executives and stakeholders at the meeting applauded Elumelu’s track record, describing his achievements as visible evidence of effective representation and dedication to public service.

Elumelu, while expressing appreciation for the warm reception, stressed the importance of consultations with party leaders and stakeholders in building a stronger and more inclusive political structure.

He also acknowledged the critical role of party executives in strengthening the party’s grassroots presence and advancing the collective interest of the people.

Meanwhile, the engagement coincided with the inauguration of the APC Ward and Local Government Executives in Oshimili North, an event witnessed by the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie; the member representing Oshimili North in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Frank Esenwah, Hon. Louis Ndukwe, Hon. Henry Mordi, Chief Ambrose Elue-Dike and the APC Oshimili North Local Government Chairman, Hon. Austin Nnabuife.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon.  Esewezie and Louis Ndukwe congratulated the newly inaugurated executives and urged them to remain committed to the ideals and progressive vision of the APC, emphasizing unity, dedication, and grassroots mobilization.

Esenwah also commended the party leadership for organizing a smooth inauguration process and charged the executives to work diligently in mobilizing members and promoting the party’s agenda across all wards.

In his remarks, the APC Oshimili North Chairman,Hon. Nnabuife, assured party members that the new executives would work closely with party leaders to strengthen the party’s structure and expand its reach across the local government area.

The consultation meeting ended with renewed assurances from party leaders and stakeholders to work collectively in strengthening the APC’s presence in Oshimili North and across Delta State.
