The ancient city of Asaba will stand still in honour and remembrance as friends, political associates, and admirers gather for a solemn Night of Tribute in memory of Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi.
The event is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the prestigious Dome Event Centre, Okpanam Road, Asaba, beginning promptly at 3:00 p.m.
Guests are expected to be seated before the commencement time, while the dress code for the occasion is All White, symbolising peace, unity, and reverence.
The tribute night will provide an opportunity for Deltans and Nigerians from all walks of life to reflect on the life and legacy of a man widely described as an oracle in politics, a mentor to many, a father figure, and a courageous voice for the voiceless. Fondly remembered as an Anioma hero, the late Senator Peter devoted his life to service, grassroots development, and the advancement of democratic ideals.
The Media/Publicity Committee, headed by Hon. Patrick Ukah, has extended invitations to all party leaders and faithfuls, well-wishers, community stakeholders, and the general public. Ward Chairmen across the state have been requested to mobilise members, and guests are to be seated on or before 3:00 p.m. in honour of the distinguished statesman.
The evening is expected to feature heartfelt tributes, reflections, and testimonies highlighting his enduring contributions to politics and humanity. It will be a gathering not only to mourn a hero lost but also to celebrate a legacy that continues to inspire hope and leadership.
Though Delta State has lost a political icon, his vision and principles remain alive in the hearts of the people he served.
As Delta State mourns, it also celebrates a towering legacy. Indeed, the people have lost a hero—but his vision, courage, and service to humanity will continue to inspire generations to come.
