Newsbreeze Media has joined family members, associates and the entire Igbuzo community in celebrating a distinguished grassroots leader, community builder and patriot, Onowu Paul Okobi, on the occasion of his birthday.
Widely regarded as a man of the people, Onowu Paul Okobi has consistently demonstrated uncommon commitment to the growth and development of Igbuzo. After spending several productive years in the United States of America, he returned home with a firm conviction that there is truly no place like home. Since then, he has invested his time, resources and experience in advancing the progress of his beloved town.
Igbuzo, many observers say, has witnessed remarkable transformation since his assumption of office as President General of the Igbuzo Community Development Union (ICDU), Home Branch. Under his proactive and purposeful leadership, the community has experienced renewed unity, improved coordination of developmental initiatives and strengthened grassroots participation.
A protective and visionary leader, Onowu Okobi has placed the welfare of the people at the center of his administration. His style of leadership — anchored on transparency, inclusiveness and accountability — has earned him admiration across different segments of the community.
In recognition of his outstanding service to humanity and proactive leadership within Igbuzo, the Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN) honoured him last year for his immense contributions to community development. The award further affirmed his growing reputation as a dependable and result-oriented leader.
Beyond his role as President General of ICDU Home Branch, he also serves as Vice President of the Union and Vice Chairman of the Planning Committee, positions through which he has continued to demonstrate tireless dedication and strategic insight.
Speaking on his impact, Newsbreeze Media described him as a humble yet firm leader whose wisdom and passion for unity have helped reposition Igbuzo for sustainable progress.
