However, the minister has yet to respond to the allegations.

Channels TV had reported that Mrs Adeosun had served as the Commissioner of Finance in Ogun State between 2011 and 2015, during the first term of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

She later joined President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet as the Minister of Finance later in 2015.

Farmer/Herders Crisis: We Have No Lands For Your Cattle Colonies – South-East Govs To FG

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Governors of the South-East states rose from a meeting in Enugu on Sunday evening with a decision that no land would be made available for the establishment of cattle ranches in the zone. The meeting, which held at the Enugu State Government House, had the governors of Enugu (Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi), Ebonyi (Dave Umahi)

Governors of the South-East states rose from a meeting in Enugu on Sunday evening with a decision that no land would be made available for the establishment of cattle ranches in the zone.

The meeting, which held at the Enugu State Government House, had the governors of Enugu (Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi), Ebonyi (Dave Umahi) in attendance, while Abia and Anambra were represented by the deputy governors. Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, was absent and was not represented by his deputy.
The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, presented the association’s ‘template on restructuring’ to the governors at the meeting, which ended late on Sunday evening.

Addressing journalists after the parley, the Chairman of the South-East Governors Forum, Umahi, disclosed that the governors had agreed that ranching would not be allowed in the zone.
Umahi explained that the reports that some South-East states had made land available for the establishment of ranches, based on a request by the Federal Government, were not true.

The Ebonyi State Governor stressed that while the Federal Government had not asked for any land for ranches, the governors would not accede to such a request, should it be made.
“No land in the South-East has been donated for ranching. We have not donated any land; we have not been asked to donate and we are not going to donate.
“Ranching is not approved by the South-East governors in the South-East,” Umahi declared.

The governors, in the same vein, condemned the recent killings in Plateau State, and demanded “justice for Plateau people.” The governors, however, raised the alarm over what they described as challenges posed by the movement of herdsmen in the South-East. They agreed to meet with heads of federal security agencies over the development.

Reading from a communiqué adopted at the meeting, Umahi said, “The South-East Governors Forum commiserates with the Governor of Plateau State and the people of the state for the recent killings.
“We condemn the killings and join other regions to demand justice for the Plateau people. “South-East governors have noticed increased challenges in the movement of herdsmen from one state and region to another with the resultant effect of massive destruction of farmlands with attendant clashes with farmers.
“South-East governors have been spending huge funds in settling farmers whose farms and crops are destroyed – we, therefore, request an emergency meeting in the South-East with federal security chiefs, farmers and herdsmen to stop the movements and prevent clashes.”

Following the presentation by Ohanaeze, the South-East governors restated their demand for restructuring.
“Ndigbo’s Stand on Restructuring of Nigeria was presented to the South-East Governors Forum by the Ohanaeze President, based on the resolutions arising from the Awka enlarged Igbo meeting.
“He (Ohanaeze President) also laid down the template for the governors. The Forum thanked Ohanaeze on a job well done and reiterated its earlier stand that restructuring is the only way forward for Nigeria.
“The Forum also decided that the governors will take a studied look at the template of restructuring and shall make its final stand clear by the next meeting of the Forum,” the communiqué said.

The governors, at the meeting, observed that the ‘dispute’ between the governments of Anambra and Ebonyi states over the recent renaming of Abakiliki Street in Awka, Anambra State, was due to ‘communication gap which is already being closed.’

Evil Lovers killed a nursing mother and sold her baby for N350,000

Wicked Lovers

[dropcap]G[/dropcap]od uses very strong language when addressing the sin of killing and murder,According to Exodus 23:7″ Have nothing to do with a false charge and do not put an innocent or honest person to death, for I will not acquit the guilty”. The above Bible quote is at work presently as detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department in Delta State arrested two evil lovers on June 24, 2018, two years after the crime they both committed , the suspects are now facing a murder rap in addition to child trafficking amongst other charges.

The suspects––Chuks Ehiwogwu, 31, his married-and-mother- of-four girlfriend, 25-year-old Blessing Ekwueme, and his ‘murder specialist’ friend, Saturday–– allegedly strangled a woman in March 2016 and threw her corpse inside a soak-away in Ehi- wogwu’s father’s compound at No 13 Dickson Okwuosa Street Asaba, Delta State capital. The deceased’s one-year-old baby was allegedly sold for N350, 000 in Benin City, Edo State.

Detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department in Delta State are currently unraveling the grisly crimes perpetrated in 2016 by a ‘criminal couple’ and their killer friend.

Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr Muhammed Mustafa confided to newsmen that  the suspect, Chuks Ehiwogwu, came to the notice of the police because of the petition from his father in September 2017.

Pa Ndebu Ehiwogwu had reported his son for violent threat and suspicion of criminal activity. Chuks Ehiwogwu had immediately left Asaba for Enugu State but came back nine months later on June 17, 2018, and was arrested by detectives on June 24. The sequence of events that followed––interrogation, confession, investigation and discovery of evidence––led to a dénouement. But for a slip of tongue during a spat with his father, Ehiwogwu’s crime would have remained undiscovered.

Pa Ndebu Ehiwogwu gives a blow-by-blow account: “It is true that I wrote a petition against my son to the Commissioner of Police in September 2017 because he had threatened to kill me and throw me inside the soak-away. The problem started when he wanted to travel to Italy and Libya. He requested for N350, 000. I gave him N200, 000 that he squandered. He came back and requested more money but I refused to give him any. He was so furious he told me he would throw me inside the soak-away just the way he did to others. After then he left Asaba and I didn’t see him again until June 17, 2018. Because I had earlier alerted the police, he was arrested. He was brought back by policemen and they evacuated the soak-away and to my surprise, they discovered human skull, a woman’s bra, and a rotten corpse.

The old man continued, dwelling on the soak-away pit: “In 2016, I saw the soak-away was sealed with new cement and I asked Chuks, why did you put new cement on this pit? He told me it was because cockroaches, ants and rats were coming out from there. I was so happy with what he did. I never knew the truth. That was why I was shocked that my own soak-away had become a place where my son dumped dead human bodies.”

A builder by profession, the 31 year old suspect, who attended Uzoigwe Primary School, Asaba and finished from Asaba Mixed Secondary School in 2007, made a clean breast of his crime when he spoke with Saturday Sun, starting with a chilling statement that “People who crossed my way or offended me, I would throw them inside the soak-away, buy cement and seal it up.”

Continuing, he gave a brief preface to his kind of crime, the modus operandi and his accomplice: “Me and my girlfriend Blessing Ekwueme are involved in the disposing of victims’ bodies inside the soak-away in my father’s compound. We specialized in human trafficking. We sell our victims in Benin and Asaba.”

Ehiwogwu, who hails from Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, lost his mother in 2001. The second of the family’s seven children averred that the discord between him and his father emanated from the misunderstanding that brewed out of his effort to travel to Libya and Italy.

He also gave Saturday Sun the lowdown on the bones recovered from the sewage pit. His story: “In March 2016, my girlfriend Blessing Ekwueme, had a contact with a doctor that needed a child and was willing to buy one. She told me of her friend who had a child, and she brought her and her one-year-old baby boy to my house. I called my friend, whose name is Saturday, to come to the house and in the night he strangled the woman to death. It was Blessing who suggested we should dump the corpse inside the soak-away. We did that. We bought N500 cement and re-sealed the pit. When my father came back home, he noticed the fresh cement on the soak-away and asked for an explanation. I told him it was to stop cockroaches, ants and rats from coming out. Blessing took the one-year-old baby boy to Benin and sold him for N350, 000. We shared the money equally at N115, 000 per person, including my friend Saturday.

“In 2017, I demanded N350, 000 from my father. I wanted to travel to Libya and Italy. He gave me N200, 000. The money was not enough for my expenses so I asked him for more but he quarreled with me and told me he didn’t have any money again. In anger, I threatened my father. I told him I have thrown some people inside the soak-away and I will not hesitate to also throw him there too. I left home and traveled to Enugu State to learn some business. I got married and had two children, one of who died at the age of eight months old. The second child is presently six months old.

“I returned to my father’s house on June 17, 2018. I came home to apologize to him and ask for his forgiveness. Surprisingly, on June 24, policemen suddenly arrived and arrested me and the detectives began to interrogate me for murder. I simply took them to the soak-away in my father’s compound. They evacuated it and found human skulls, a decomposed body and a woman’s bra inside it. So, I confessed everything to them.”

According to Mr Wale Abass, Deputy Commissioner of Police at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Asaba, detectives had been on Ehiwogwu’s trail since his father’s petition against him. “We had information then that the suspect had disposed of some innocent people inside the soak-away in his father’s compound, but he absconded. When we heard that he has resurfaced, de- tectives went after him and arrested him. He confessed upon interrogation. We recovered a human skull, a woman’s clothes and underclothing and a carcass from the pit. We then went after the other accomplice who is now in our custody.

The other accomplice, Blessing Ekwueme, who was arrested on June 27 in Enugu State, told newsmen, “Chuks is my boyfriend.”

She gave a succinct overview of their heinous deed. “It was him and his friend, Saturday, that threw the woman I brought to them into the soak-away. I was the one who took her one- year-old boy to Benin and sold him for N350, 000 and we all shared the money equally.”

Continuing, she said: “But Chuks and I quarrelled after the incident because he insisted he wanted to marry me, whereas I am married with four children. We both went our separate ways. I was surprised when policemen came to my house and arrested me on June 27, 2018, for a crime we committed in 2016. I have confessed and expressed my cooperation to take the policemen to Benin to the person to whom I sold the baby boy.”

According to Commissioner of Police Mustafa, no one connected with the crime will be spared. The suspects will soon be charged to court once the investigation is concluded, he said.

The convicts, Innocent Kpaladjo a.k.a, Iyetech, 35, Ejiro Omorere, 36 and Festus Okoro, 28 were arraigned in May 2011 on a four count charge of conspiracy to kidnap, kidnapping, demanding with menace and armed robbery, offences punishable under Sections 516 (a), 364, 406 of the Criminal Code Law Cap. According to the prosecution witness, Mrs. Tobore Oborevwori who identified one of her captors as her husband’s driver, testified at the court that on  May 8, 2011 at about 1.00pm while driving along Osubi road after visiting a widow, noticed a gold coloured Toyota Camry car following her and suddenly ambushed her car.
She said two men carrying fire arms came out of the camry in a commando style be ordering her to enter theor car. Mrs. Oborevwori told the court that she was immediately blindfolded before she was taken to an  unknown destination.

Igbos Have The Right To Lay Claim To The Rulership Of The Country – Buhari

…As APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole Says President Buhari Does Not Need To Change His Name To Win Votes

…Governor Rochas Okorocha Says President Buhari Has Shown Enough Love For Igbos

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that the South-East people and the Igbos in particular have the right to lay claim to the rulership of this Country since they are part and parcel of the Country, adding that when the time to make such claim arises, they would support them.

The President who spoke through the Secretary to the Government of the federation, Mr. Boss Gida Mustapha at the South-East APC mega rally tagged South-East APC Rally for Buhari at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 said President Buhari is a true lover of Igbo people.

His words “In 2015, Igbos played bad Politics like Owelle rightly acknowledged and that Igbo people are not good starters, but when they start, they have the capacity to overtake. I assure you that the Igbo nation are ready to overtake other parts of this country in 2019,

“The election in 2019, for the Igbo nation, is an election that will determine or mar your chances. I want to appeal to you that this is not about party but about the Igbo nation, and I’m calling on the Igbo nation and brothers in the diaspora and in this land to have a paradigm shift and think seriously about their nation and position in this country,

“I have had opportunity to speak to Igbo leaders and I told them this, that the Presidency of Nigeria has always been negotiated and you can only negotiate on the basis of strength. If you’re weak, then you don’t have a chance and your position of strength will be determined by the votes you give to Buhari in 2019.

“You’re important people in this nation. You control industries, you control trade and commence. You control every facet of our entrepreneurship. I appeal to you and I urge you to bring the skills you have built in the past to bear on your political arena so that you can navigate your way to the presidency of this country through your votes for President Muhammadu Buhari,

“The choice is that of the Igbo nation. What happens in 2019 will determine the future of this country. I appeal to you, please stop listening to the stories that are being peddled. Buhari is an honest man, that cuts the entire African continent. Buhari is not a selfish man. He is not a tribalistic man, he is a man that has a vision for a true Nigeria,

“Never in the history of this country do we have the SGF and Head of Service from the same religion. But because of his dire desire to move this country forward he accommodated that. Nigeria is not a Banana republic, Nigeria is a serious country, and President Buhari is the only man that can fix this nation” he concluded.

National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole said President Buhari will not have to change his name to win votes or break grounds at the Niger Bridge to win votes, adding that he will win by doing the right things and obeying his consciences as a man of integrity.

He added “Everything they said was impossible, Buhari has demonstrated that they are possible; For the first time we have seen military generals been brought on trial in advancing the anti-corruption crusade of his administration. Truth is bitter, those who are writing letters now, governed as absolute ruler for 3 years and came back for another 8 years, what did he do for the second Niger Bridge? His only dream was to take us back to Mugabe where there is no tenure ending. We thank a great Igbo man, a great Comrade Chief Ken Nnanami”.

He continued “Okorocha is a great asset to APC in the South East. I am a believer that in matters of politics, it is not like matters in the bible where we are told that we may believe without seeing. In politics you rather see before you believe. I have come and have seen people, energetic youths and intelligent women and men under the rain to show support for President Buhari. With this rally, I am assuring that our opponents who had banked on the South-East won’t sleep tonight”.

“Rochas, you have shown who owns the land, for so long we have been having the problems of People Deceiving People (PDP) when they come to the South East, the answer Azikiwe, but doing what Azikiwe did becomes a problem for them. The South East had everything going for them in terms of positions in government the President of the Senate, SGF, Finance Minister, CBN Governor etc but still they couldn’t construct or reconstruct the second Niger Bridge” he stated.

Governor Rochas Okorocha said “Igbos love President Buhari. What he is doing in Igboland has touched the Igbos. Let him know we love him. I have brought the emerging new leaders of Igboland who have come to take their rightful place and they will deliver in 2019. These might not be the usual faces you know in Politics. We are celebrating excellence. In 2015, Igbo people played bad Politics, because the Igbos never believed in Buhari but in 2019 Igbos will vote massively for Mr. President,

“To create the wrong impression that there is no APC in the South-East some of our leaders have begun to negotiate away APC and certain positions by saying vote for Mr. President and APC, and vote for another Candidate for another position in another party. This is unacceptable. There is no half support for APC. If you are supporting Mr. President, you must also support governorship and other candidates of APC. I have risen to my responsibility. Those who are aspiring for governorship and other positions should go ahead” he said.

Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Gandunje in his speech stated “This crowd here is wonderful. This crowd is from God. There are even more people outside than those inside. I am in Kano because of the crowd. I am impressed by this crowd I have seen here. I have seen a lot of development in the State. I have seen a new Owerri. Imo governor is a man of integrity. He has made Imo the heart of APC in the South-East. With this crowd the South-East has made U-turn in Politics, to be at the centre”.

Former Governor of Borno State and former National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Modu Sheriff said,        “I have seen that Igbos are happy with Buhari. If I didn’t come to Owerri, I would not have been happy. People of Imo State have impressed Nigerians. It took 2 hours to get to the Stadium from Government House. The permutation of Nigeria will change in 2019. Igbos will vote for Buhari”.

Chief Timi Sylva former governor of Bayelsa State said “I know for a fact that the South-East did some magics in 2015. The zone delivered eight million votes to PDP in 2011, and in 2015 the votes were reduced to two million and in 2019, 8 million votes will be delivered to APC in the South-East and further reduce the votes of PDP to ten votes. The present administration has done well for the nation. Those complaining are those who enjoyed the profligacy of the past. The majority of Nigerians are with APC and President Muhammadu Buhari”.

Some other APC dignitaries at the event are, Deputy National Chairman of APC, Adeniyi Otumba Adebayo, National Legal Adviser of APC, Mr. Babatunde Ogala, National Organizing Secretary, Barr. Emma Ibediro, National Auditor, Chief George Moughalu, Senator Andy Ubah, Senator Emma Anosike, Senator Emmanuel Agboti, Senator Uche Ekwunife, Senator Chris Emenike and a host of others.
