[dropcap]T[/dropcap]hierry Henry has overseen a disastrous three months in charge of the Ligue 1 club that has seen them in a relegation battle in France’s top division.

The club released a statement on Thursday saying they had decided to “suspend” his duties as first team coach and Franck Passi will take first team training on Friday. His predecessor, Leonardo Jardim is expected to replace him, after being fired himself.

Overall, Henry has won just four of 20 matches and he has not managed a single victory in front of home supporters at the Stade Louis II, as Monaco sit 19th in Ligue 1, three points from safety.

Henry who was hired in October had apologised for using foul language to insult Strasbourg defender Kenny Lala during his side’s 5-1 defeat on Saturday.

Worse still, an almost full strength Monaco side lost 3-1 to Ligue 2 side Metz, playing a fringe squad, in the Coupe de France on Tuesday.
Arsenal’s all-time leading scorer is in his first managerial role, having previously been Belgium assistant boss.

He had been on the shortlist for the Aston Villa manager’s job in October before taking the job at the club where he started his playing career.
