It was a moment of pride and celebration as the Civil Society Action Coalition for All (CSACEFA), Delta State Chapter, conferred the prestigious Grand Award of Patron on Pastor Idowu Daniel Okeze, the Odozi-Obodo of Igbuzo, in recognition of his outstanding philanthropic contributions to humanity.
The colourful ceremony, held at the Delta State Secretariat, attracted top dignitaries within the Delta State Civil Service, including commissioners and senior government officials. The atmosphere was charged with admiration and respect as attendees rose to their feet in a standing ovation during the citation of Pastor Okeze’s exemplary life and humanitarian record.
Although unavoidably absent, Pastor Okeze was ably represented by Dr. Pat Adigwe, who received the honour on his behalf. In his remarks, Dr. Adigwe expressed deep appreciation to the coalition for finding Pastor Okeze worthy of such a distinguished recognition. He noted that the award serves as further encouragement for the cleric and philanthropist to continue his unwavering commitment to uplifting the less privileged and supporting community development initiatives.
Speakers at the event took turns to highlight Pastor Okeze’s selfless service, describing him as a man whose lifestyle reflects compassion, integrity, and genuine love for humanity. Several individuals present at the ceremony testified to either witnessing or personally benefiting from his numerous acts of benevolence, ranging from housing support and educational assistance to empowerment programmes for widows and youths.

A proud son of Igbuzo, Pastor Idowu Okeze continues to distinguish himself as a worthy ambassador of his community, carrying the name of Igbuzo with honour wherever he goes. His latest recognition adds to a growing list of accolades that reflect his enduring legacy of service.
