The Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN), Delta State Council, today honoured distinguished personalities at its 2025 Annual Conference, an event that commenced with a free medical outreach, followed by a public lecture and an award ceremony.
Among those recognised were Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori; Sir Festus Ahon, Dr Obi Lelvin Ezenyili , the Executive Chairman of Oshimili South Local Government Area; and Barr. Muwhen,Acting Managing Director of Delta Mortgage Trust Bank, all honoured for their support for grassroots development, community journalism and effective public communication.
The conference, holding in Ibusa, brought together publishers, media practitioners, patrons, government officials and invited guests. ACNPN described the honourees as partners committed to strengthening local media and empowering communities through accessible information and responsive governance.
