[dropcap]A [/dropcap]former governorship aspirant in Akwa Ibom state and former executive director, marketing communication, of Globacom, Mr. Okon Iyanam,aka “Okon papa” who was shot dead in the early hours of Wednesday, 27th June, 2018,by unknown gunmen at his Heritage Hotels and Resorts in Mowe, Ogun state was laid to rest today at his hometown Oron in Akwa Ibom state amidst tears, wailings and eulogies. According to Chief Charles Okonkwo, the CEO of Lifeguards Ltd, said that Late Okon Iyanam was a close brother, friend ,unbeatable, unpiratable and wonderful fellow. He was a Nigerian like no other. We don’t mourn him, we celebrate him because of the legacies he left behind, see the way the world has honoured him. “As we say goodbye to this lion,We should unite to support the daughters and family he left behind.
