…Says Tinubu’s Student Loan Scheme Ease Financial Burden on Students
The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Delta State Governor on Youth Mobilisation, Hon. Chief Lucky Blessing Abuah, has called on youths of Oshimili North Local Government Area to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections.
Abuah made the appeal yesterday during a visit to Akwukwu-Igbo, the headquarters of Oshimili North, at the company of Chief Nelson Agbamuche, where he spoke with Newsbreeze Magazine.
The governor’s aide urged the youths to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and Olorogun Innocent Esewezie, whom he identified as political leaders whose continued support, according to him, would advance development in the state and the country.
Abuah said the APC-led Federal Government had laid a solid foundation for youth development through reforms and policies designed to improve access to education and economic opportunities.
He particularly highlighted the Student Loan Scheme, describing it as a significant intervention aimed at reducing the financial burden on Nigerian university students and ensuring that indigent students were not forced to abandon their education because of the inability to pay school fees.
According to him, the scheme represents an important step towards making higher education more accessible to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The reforms introduced by the APC-led Federal Government are laying a good foundation for the future of our youths. The Student Loan Scheme is particularly important because it gives students from poor families the opportunity to pursue their education without being forced to withdraw from school because of financial difficulties, Abuah said.
He maintained that the youths of Oshimili North should recognise the importance of continuity in government and support the APC in the forthcoming elections.
The SSA further urged young people to participate actively in the democratic process, stressing that their votes would play a significant role in determining the future direction of Delta State and Nigeria.
Abuah reaffirmed his commitment to youth mobilisation and encouraged the younger generation to embrace policies and programmes capable of promoting education, empowerment and sustainable development.
