The Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN), Delta State Council, has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his recognition by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) with an award for Christian leadership.
The association described the recognition as a significant honour, noting that it highlights the values of faith, humility, service, peace and moral responsibility in public leadership.
In a congratulatory statement jointly signed by the State Chairman and Secretary of ACNPN, Comrade Ike Philip Abiagom and Comrade Alaska Ekele, respectively, the council said the award provided an opportunity to acknowledge the Governor’s relationship with the Christian community and efforts to promote peaceful coexistence among people of different religious backgrounds.
The association expressed the hope that the recognition would further encourage the Governor to sustain his commitment to inclusive governance, unity, compassion and the welfare of Deltans.It also commended CAN for recognising individuals whose public service and engagement with the Christian community merit acknowledgement.
The ACNPN Delta State Council wished Governor Oborevwori continued wisdom, strength and success in the discharge of his responsibilities, while urging him to remain focused on policies and programmes that improve the lives of residents across the state.
