PASTOR OKEZE, IGBUZO HIGH CHIEFS SEEK LASTING PEACE, DEVELOPMENT IN COMMUNITY

In a renewed effort to foster peace, unity, and sustainable development in Igbuzo, renowned community leader and philanthropist, Pastor Idowu Chukwudi Okeze (Ukpe Igbuzo), today  (Sunday) hosted prominent traditional High Chiefs and community leaders at his residence for a strategic meeting aimed at addressing key issues affecting the town.

Among those in attendance were High Chief Charles Ositadinma Okonkwo, the Odogwu of Igbuzo; High Chief Ameachi Nwaenei, the Uwolo of Igbuzo; High Chief (Engr.) Celestine Okafor, the Ikwele of Igbuzo; and the President-General of the Igbuzo Community Development Union (ICDU).

The meeting focused on critical matters affecting the community, including security, the operations of the Igbuzo Community Policing (ICP), the forthcoming Igbuzo Youth Council election, and other issues relating to the peace, progress, and overall development of Igbuzo.

During the deliberations, participants emphasized the need for unity among stakeholders and collective efforts toward addressing challenges confronting the community. They also examined practical solutions to the issues raised and agreed on measures aimed at strengthening peace, harmony, and social cohesion in the town.

The traditional leaders commended Pastor Okeze for convening the meeting, describing it as timely and necessary given the challenges facing the community. They praised his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people and his numerous contributions to the growth and development of Igbuzo.

According to the chiefs, Pastor Okeze has consistently demonstrated genuine concern for the advancement of the community through youth empowerment initiatives, support for widows and vulnerable persons, and efforts geared towards attracting developmental projects to Igbuzo.

They further pledged their readiness to continue working closely with him and other stakeholders in promoting peace, security, unity, and sustainable development in the community.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with participants expressing optimism that increased collaboration among community leaders would strengthen unity and accelerate progress across Igbuzo.

Speaking after the meeting, Chief Kizito Ijeh described the gathering as a significant step towards building consensus on key community issues and ensuring a more peaceful, stable, and prosperous future for the people of Igbuzo.
