Pastor Idowu Chukwudi Okeze, Ukpe Igbuzo, has intensified efforts to restore peace, unity, and stability within the Igbuzo Youth Council by convening a crucial meeting involving the council’s members and the electoral body.
The enlarged meeting, held on Saturday, brought together key stakeholders, including members of the youth executive and the electoral committee led by Barrister Charles Nwaogwugwu, popularly known as Okwulagwe, to address lingering issues affecting the youth body.
Deliberations focused on the suspended youth council election, ongoing court cases, matters relating to the Ibusa Community Policing (ICP), and other concerns that have contributed to divisions within the council and hampered its activities.
The meeting is part of Pastor Okeze’s broader efforts to foster reconciliation and chart a path toward lasting peace among the youths of Igbuzo. He had previously engaged other community stakeholders in consultations aimed at finding enduring solutions to the challenges confronting the youth organization.
At the end of the deliberations, participants reached several resolutions geared toward strengthening unity and restoring confidence in the leadership and electoral processes of the youth council. The resolutions are expected to be made public in due course.
Chief Kizito Ijeh, who joined the meeting during the session, also lent his support to the peace initiative. Participants unanimously emphasized that peace remains essential for the growth and development of the community and agreed that all legitimate avenues must be explored to achieve lasting harmony among Igbuzo youths.
The initiative has attracted commendation from members of the community, who praised Pastor Okeze for his leadership, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to promoting unity and resolving issues affecting the Igbuzo Youth Council.
