Community stakeholders in Oshimili North Local Government Area have reaffirmed their confidence in Hon. Frank Esenwah, the member representing Oshimili North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, describing him as the most credible, dependable, and unifying choice ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking in Igbuzo, a community leader, High Chief (Barrister ) Lawrence Okolie Snr. Opala Ezemese – Igbuzo,  condemned recent criticisms of the lawmaker by a small  section of Igbuzo indigenes, describing them as unfair, divisive, and politically insensitive. He  recalled that Igbuzo community held the Oshimili North House of Assembly seat for over 24 uninterrupted years without significant opposition, stressing that equity, fairness, and mutual respect must continue to guide political engagement within the constituency.

Leading the discourse, High  Chief Okolie Snr. stated that Hon. Esenwah, who hails from Illah community, has since assumption of office demonstrated transparency, accountability, and an inclusive approach to representation. According to him, the lawmaker’s style of leadership has promoted unity and even development across all communities in Oshimili North.

Chief  Okolie further emphasized that Hon. Esenwah has maintained a strong personal presence in Igbuzo over the years, living among the people and fostering enduring friendships and professional relationships with prominent indigenes, a factor he said has strengthened trust and cooperation across community lines.

“For more than two decades, the people of Igbuzo occupied this position without interference from other parts of Oshimili North. It is therefore unjust for anyone to begin attacking Hon. Esenwah barely two years into his tenure. He deserves support, encouragement, and cooperation to do more for the people,” one of the leaders remarked.

Reacting to the overwhelming show of confidence, Chief Okolie expressed appreciation to community leaders, particularly the late Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, for their steadfast support and belief in Hon. Esenwah prior to his passing. He assured constituents that the lawmaker remains fully committed to fulfilling his campaign promises and deepening development across the constituency.

“Hon. Frank Esenwah is a true servant of the people. He continues to justify the mandate given to him through visible constituency projects, sustained community engagement, and empowerment programmes that directly impact lives. His performance speaks louder than words,” Okolie stated.

He disclosed that several developmental projects are currently ongoing across Oshimili North, including the rehabilitation of rural roads in Achalla-Igbuzo, Ukala, and Illah communities; renovation of classroom blocks and donation of school furniture in Akwukwu-Igbo, Igbuzo, and Atuma; implementation of skill acquisition programmes and youth empowerment grants for small-scale entrepreneurs; and sustained support for women cooperatives to boost rural economic growth.

Chief Okolie also noted that Hon. Esenwah has sponsored and supported key motions in the Delta State House of Assembly aimed at improving education, strengthening infrastructure, and addressing environmental challenges in rural communities.

In a unified appeal, community leaders called on all indigenes of Oshimili North, irrespective of political affiliation or community background, to rally behind Hon. Esenwah in the collective interest of unity, stability, and sustainable development.
“This is not the time for division. Our constituency is experiencing steady progress under the current representation. We must stand together, support our representative, and encourage him to do even more for Oshimili North,” the statement concluded.

With a growing record of performance, inclusiveness, and cross-community acceptance, stakeholders insist that Hon. Frank Esenwah remains the best and most credible choice for Oshimili North as the constituency looks ahead to 2027.
