In what has been described as an act of uncommon generosity and vision, Pastor Idowu Daniel Okeze, Ukpechukwu Igbuzo — a man renowned for his compassion, humility, and unwavering commitment to community development — has once again written his name in gold by donating top-tier laboratory equipment to St. Thomas College in Igbuzo, Delta State.
The donation, which includes modern biology, chemistry, and physics apparatuses, will completely transformed the school’s science laboratory into one of the best-equipped in the region. Teachers and students will not contain their excitement as they walked into the newly upgraded facility, marveling at the gleaming microscopes, precision measuring tools, chemical sets, and digital lab instruments that now adorn the benches.
According to Pastor Okeze, the gesture was born out of his lifelong passion for education and youth empowerment. “Education is the foundation of progress,” he said. “Every child deserves access to quality learning tools, no matter their background. With proper exposure to science and technology, these young minds can compete with the best anywhere in the world.”
“Science and technology are the keys to national development,” he said. “If we give our children the right tools today, they will build a better tomorrow for all of us. This is my contribution toward a future where every Igbuzo child can dream and achieve without limits.”
The philanthropist, who has consistently invested in education, healthcare, and community welfare, expressed hope that the new laboratory state of Art would ignite scientific curiosity and inspire a new generation of innovators from Igbuzo.
In appreciation, Mr Emma Amatokwu aka Kwasa described Pastor Okeze’s intervention as “a divine blessing at a time when most schools struggle with inadequate facilities. ”he noted that the gesture would not only improve academic performance but also encourage students to pursue careers in medicine, engineering, and research. He commended Pastor Okeze for his unwavering love for humanity, describing him as “a man who lives for others.” He praised his rare humility and consistency in giving back without seeking applause or political gain.
“What Pastor Okeze has done goes beyond donation — it’s an investment in the minds and future of our children. He has shown that real wealth is measured not by what you keep, but by what you give.”
For the students of Igbuzo, this is more than just a donation — it is a spark of hope, a reminder that dreams are valid, and that there are still men and women who care deeply about the future of their community.
Pastor Idowu Okeze’s benevolent act stands as yet another testament to his enduring legacy — a shining example of how faith, compassion, and purposeful giving can transform lives and strengthen the fabric of society.
