Children’s Day: Obi Nwaokocha Okeze Foundation Organsies Fun Fair For Children In Igbuzor

As we celebrate this years children’s day, Obi Nwaokocha Okeze Foundation has congratulated in particular the most wonderful breed of children in Ibusa, describing them as a true representation of the future. In a heartwarming celebration of Children’s Day, the Obi Nwaokocha Okeze Foundation brought joy and inspiration to hundreds of children across Igbuzor and its environs. The event, held at St. Thomas College Igbuzor, was filled with laughter, music, and an array of activities designed to celebrate the potential and importance of the younger generation.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, the Founder of the foundation Pastor Idowu Okeze reminded children of their crucial role as the future leaders of Nigeria. “You are the torchbearers of our nation’s future,” “It is your responsibility to build a brighter tomorrow through good behavior, dedication to your studies, and respect for one another.”

The event, organized by the Obi Nwaokocha Okeze Foundation, was marked by a series of engaging performances, including match pass by Primary and Secondary Schools, traditional dances, poetry recitations, live Football cup Competition match, Igbuzor Cultural dance and a talent show that showcased the diverse talents of children. Each performance was met with thunderous applause with cash reward to schools that won in each competition and highlighting the vibrant culture and creativity of Nigeria’s youth.

The Founder of Obi Nwaokocha Okeze Foundation, Pastor Idowu Okeze has called on government at all levels to prioritise children’s welfare in their leadership agenda. He felicitated with Nigerian children on the occasion of the 2025 Children’s Day celebration, He described them as potential future leaders and the only hope for the nation to thrive. As Obi Nwaokocha Okeze Foundation marks another year Children’s Day celebration, it is a fitting moment to reflect on the significant contributions the foundation has made to the educational landscape and the lives of those already touched by the philanthropic endeavours of Obi Nwaokocha Okeze Foundation.

Pastor Okeze who said the foundation is concerned about the welfare of orphans and children from vulnerable homes in Ibusa and Nigeria in general, described the Nigerian children as exceptionally gifted, brilliant and resilient who are destined for greatness .Despite the various challenges faced by children in Nigeria ranging from poor parentage, lack of educational and medical amenities, the foundation extols the struggle for survival by the average Nigerian child. He called on the Nigerian government to prioritize the welfare of children by providing medical, educational and social security for them.

The Founder of Obi Nwaokocha Okeze Foundation, Pastor Idowu Okeze is recognized for his philanthropic efforts that touch the lives of many. His commitment to giving back to the community reflects a deep-seated belief in the importance of social responsibility. Apart from the foundation supporting school Children in Ibusa,Obi Nwaokocha Okeze Foundation had also distributed school chairs and tables, instructional materials, renovated classrooms for many schools, fenced schools, award scholarships and cash to mention but a few.

Peter Nwases, Chief Austin Ndinwa(Okemili),Hon. Onyesis Okeze and other personalities. As children dispersed with their gifts, their faces beamed with hope and excitement for the future, embodying the very essence of Children’s Day.
