Member Representing Oshimili North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Frank Esenwah empowered selected 355 persons in his constituents with different tools of their choice worth over N300M.
The cash Empowerment was presented to the beneficiaries who cut across the communities in Oshimili North, on Thursday 9th October, 2025, at the Saint John Anglican Church Civil Hall in Akwukwu-Igbo, Oshimili North LGA Headquarters, in a colorful event marking the 2nd anniversary of Hon. Esenwah’s representation of the People in the State House of Assembly.


The occasion which witnessed a unique gathering of the people of Oshimili North who came out in their large numbers was also attended by a renowned and the Supreme Political leader of Oshimili North local Government Area, Distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi,former Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa (represented by Elder Moses Iduh) and the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Chief Innocent Esewezie and Executives of the APC in Oshimili North from the Ward to the LGA. and other personalities.


It was an occasion that afforded the Honourable Member representing Oshimili North, in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Frank Esenwah, the opportunity of presenting his scorecard to the people of the constituency on his activities as their representative in the State House of Assembly for a period of two years.
Speaking at the event, Esenwah said that the gathering was an opportunity to appreciate God for all that he has done for the people of Oshimili North in the past two years of his representation, noting that the people are aware of the challenges that he passed through, before his assumption of office as the representative of the people, hence the need to celebrate and appreciate the goodness of the Lord God who he affirmed made it possible, even as he lauded the entire people of the area for their doggedness in their support, cooperation and prayers.
“I had a joint meeting of all the community Youth leaders, the APC ward Youth Leaders, and my ward coordinators in all the wards in Oshimili North and we had a very long deliberation on what they want me to do for them and at the end of the day they voted finally for cash empowerment.”
According to Hon. Esenwah, “We ensured that this cash grant was spread across every nook and cranny of Oshimili North. Artisans, market women, landlords’ associations, councillors, party leaders, traditional rulers, and community president generals all submitted nominees.” He emphasized that the empowerment initiative aimed to help people start or support small businesses, adding that the ₦100,000 grant was “a seed” intended to yield economic growth within local communities.
The representative, who is greatly loved by his people gave the assurance that he will continue to give his people quality representation no matter the cost, adding that by the end of this present administration in the State, he would be able to point to at least, one project that he was able to attract to each of the communities in Oshimili North.
“I am very determined to touch all the communities in Oshimili North by the end of this administration, no matter how small,” he stated, while saying that the people of the Area have shown happiness and delight over the massive infrastructural development ongoing in the area, which he described as unprecedented in the history of Oshimili North, while commending the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his show of love to the people of Oshimili North, whereby his administration through his MORE Agenda has opened up Oshimili North to unparalleled transformation.
He reiterated his call and appeal to the people of Oshimili North to massively support the Oborevwori Second Term in office, come 2027 and stated that the Delta Central and South have had their full tenures, hence the obvious need to support the Governor, who he described as a blessing to the People of the State, to come back to complete and consolidate on his good works for the people.
Senator Peter Nwaoboshi lauded Hon. Esenwah’s leadership, describing him as a trailblazer and a game changer who has set a new standard for constituency service. He urged supporters to back Hon. Esenwah, saying, “There has never been a member of the House of Assembly from 1999 till today who has done this. I say this with pride, Esenwah has done well. He represents the North-North region of Oshimili North with distinction.”
He also stressed that humility and passion for service to his people has not only distinguished Esenwah, but that he has brought value to his people through adequate representation.
Also in their remarks,Elder Moses Iduh, who represented the former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, commended Hon. Esenwah’s generosity and commitment to his people. He praised the constituents for maintaining peace, noting that “without peace, there can be no development.”
The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, described Hon. Esenwah’s gesture as an example of true representation. He stated, “Ordinarily, members would save up to prepare for the next election, but Hon. Esenwah has chosen to empower his people instead. He understands that empowerment is not a gift to be squandered; it is a seed to be planted. ₦100,000 may seem little, but if used wisely, it can start a business and empower others.”
Chief Innocent Esewezie, the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area ,also aplauded the state government for extending developmental projects across all 25 local government areas, describing Hon. Esenwah’s empowerment as a reflection of responsive governance.
Highpoint at the event was the formal presentation of solar panel lights to Ward Chairmen and Honorable Councilors representing various wards across the LGA, further demonstrating his commitment to improving the lives of his constituents.
One of the beneficiary, Mrs. Nwani Amaka from the Illah community spoke to Newsbreeze and she expressed her gratitude, saying the money would help improve her farming business. “I am very, very happy. I will use the money to buy materials for my farm. I thank God and pray that He blesses Honourable Esenwah,” she said in Pidgin English.
